Located on a corner with 2 very busy busstops on 2 sides causing very severe airpolution leaving a dark dust everyday on balcony. Even though smoking is forbidden by law(!) heavily smoking guests are only requested not to smoke, but if they continue, no appropiate measures are taken and so the smoking just goes on! Also NO smoke-detectors in the rooms. The 2 young receptionist are ignorant and especially the one night/early morning guy extremely rude and incapable. Complaints and/or suggestions to owner are laughed away and only answered in a 'politically correct' manner. Not a place to reccomend!!!

The staff is friendly. It's a old hotel, but the price is fair. But one thing isn't OK: The WIFI works in the lobby and in the breakfast-room, but it does't work in the rooms. Så don't use this hotel, if you want WIFI in your room.

I booked this as it was a lot cheaper than other hotels nearby. So I was pleasantly surprised as how much I got for my money. The rooms were a bit dated, but they were clean and fairly quiet. The rooms were larger than expected (although bathroom was quite small), and it was very central, about 5 mins to shops and the beach, and 15min walk to the main train station. The staff were very friendly - I would stay there again.

We stayed in Nice for a night and found this place within our budget, while there was the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix going on.
It's only a 2* but the location is great and the guy on reception was very welcoming. I can't stress how much of a difference that makes when you turn up!
The hotel itself is not the nicest in look or feel (also not the worst), but we didn't really care as it was in the desired location and within budget. I'd say the place could help itself by working on a couple small things, such as installing shower curtains and having the room maids keep the dirty sheets out the way of arriving guests (i.e. not strewn in the corridor).
Extra point for the breakfast which was better than expected.

Great location: 5 min the beach, 1 min the shopping street, bus stops near, the shops are close. However the streets are noisy, the new windosw are great in sound-proofing. The only noisy thing can be your neighbours :) Rooms are small, but clean, staff is really kind, its a good place to stay if you want to sightseeing all day.
