Very good value in the centre of Blois, 5mins walk to the castle.Small but quirky attic room for only 40 Euros including breakfast. Close to train station, easy 10 minute walk.Great for a one night stay.

This is never going to be a 5star hotel but it is clean, the beds comfy,the price cheap and the lady on reception friendly and helpful. Parking difficult in narrow roads but after 6.30pm park free in main street.

We were a family of four touring the Loire valley. I booked the hotel after seeing some reviews in Tripadvisor. But learnt that self-experience is the best teacher!! Very narrow stairs , poor bath fittings , noisy location and small rooms..
Having said the above, for the price that you pay you should be mentally prepared to take on these challenges ! So unless you want to spend just a night here , do not make this your destination..

The hotel was okay considering the price of the room and the age of the building (historical building from the 15th century, meaning: small doorframes, small windows, narrow stairs...). Rooms have been renovated, but are not up to modern standards (no wifi in the room, bathroom looked like straight out of the 50s). I would recommend this hotel for backpackers only.
Positive:
-Friendly & helpful staff
-Quiet & clean room
-Comfortable beds
-Cheap continental breakfast
-We (3 people) booked a triple room and got a room with two double beds that was big enough for four people
Negative:
-Bathroom very small and outdated
-Small doorframes, we had to be careful not to hit our head
-Difficult to carry suitcases up the narrow stairs
-No wifi in the room
-Parking is only possible a few streets away from the hotel and as the hotel is on a one-lane street you can’t stop the car in front of the hotel to unload luggage without causing a small traffic jam; however, French drivers are very patient ;)

Only stayed in Blois for the night and I would recommend this place to anyone going there. The decor of the rooms is a bit weird, and the communal shower I imagine would be irritating if you're there for more than a night. Aside from that it was a nice, peaceful stay. I'd recommend it.
