Location is grand. Close enough to walk to center of town and far enough to enjoy quiet. Rooms are small - be ready - but comfy and clean. Breakfast is satisfying but not spectacular. Owners are helpful.Some parking.

Now I know how Alice felt when she grew too big to fit into the house. Tiny, tiny bedroom (22) with tiny, tiny bathroom. Stayed 3 nights and booked direct some months earlier so had hoped for a better bedroom. It was warm the night we arrived but nothing out of the ordinary for France (we live in France) but the room was like an oven. Wouldn’t like to stay there in the real 30+ summer heat.
Yes it is good value for Annecy and a nice central location once you have trekked up the steep hill – there is no lift in the hotel so you also have the stairs to tackle which could be a problem for some. The staff are pleasant, the breakfast is OK if a bit expensive (9 euros) for the choice available.
Parking could be an issue although we managed (just!) to squeeze our car in at the property and left it there the entire time.
On the whole not a bad experience but nothing special and we would probably try somewhere else next time.

Before booking with this hotel I read all the negative reviews on Tripadvisor, as I always do to see the complaints and decide if I am willing to make a booking. After reading the reviews I decided to make a booking for 3 nights.
Now, after staying there I can tell you first hand that this is a great establishment. The hosts are friendly, helpful and were more than willing to accommodate our requests. I had a parcel delivered by a third party before my arrival and the owners were more than willing to help with this as well as changes made to our initial reservation. The rooms are tidy and clean and more than sufficient for a comfortable stay. As for the steap hill climb to the hotel, the beautiful views from the terrace make up for this. The locatioin in the old town is fantastic and the Lac d'Annecy is a short walk away from the hotel.
As I am from South Africa, our currency's exchange rate makes it expensive to visit France. Eating out at restaurants is a luxury and most of our meals were self made. Drinks sold at the hotel was not as expensive as at restaurants and ice cold in the summer heat. I believe we had the best view and most affordable drinks in town when having our meals on the terrace! Thank you to the owners of Hotel du Annecy for making our time in Annecy superb!

This hotel is very well located with respect to the town centre, is reasonably comfortable, and well priced. To add to the charm there are two black cats that act as some sort of welcoming party and will let you pat them all day long. Only gripes were the need for some A/C and the small size of the bathroom towels!

Stayed here 1 night when passing by. Very friendly staff that gave helpful advice of Annecy. Good size room that was nice and clean. Super location as its a 2 minute walk to the old part. Parked in the parking lot at the hotel which was nice to have.
