Our second stay at Hotel du Parc - this time for 8 days. We love this hotel for its proximity to the woodland paths leading to a beautiful beach. Local buses can be hailed outside the hotel but we mostly walked into Arcachon. We had no car so tended to have dinner and drinks at one of the three beachside restaurant bars within easy walking distance.
Enjoyed the continental breakfast on our balcony and being able to relax by the pool. There is a good selection of books and magazines - mostly in French this year - but it saved us having to carry books in our luggage.
Bruno and Breeda, the owners, are very welcoming and are able to give wide ranging information on Arcachon and it's surrounds. Other staff were equally helpful.
Unfortunately I made a mistake in my booking and didn't get the room we had the previous year. We were able to change rooms but it wasn't to the same standard of comfort. Worth mentioning that the bedside lights were very dull and we were thankful to have two torches with us - enabling us to read at night.
Otherwise an excellent, relaxed stay and we would recommend this hotel without any hesitation. Merci.

Once again we had a wonderful experience staying at the Hotel du Parc. The owners and all staff were very professional and friendly.There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the Hotel and nothing was too much trouble. Every area in the hotel was spotlessly clean and the lovely swimming pool is a real bonus. Our breakfast every morning was a consistently high standard. We look forward to visiting again soon.

We have been coming for 20 years. No other statement is needed?
Strong family feeling and the seasonal extras get nicely into the team.
This year the (heavy) stores in our room were controlled electrically.
What will be improved for 2018 season? Better bedside reading lamps??

Everybody was very friendly! The room with balcony, air con, fridge etc. had everything what we needed! Breakfast on the balcony as well as swimming in the pool was wonderful! The beach is only 10 minutes away. We will definitly come back!

We enjoyed the village of Moulleau (great bars & restaurants) which is about a 20-30 minute walk. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk to the beach and it's about a 15 minute drive to the dune (Pyla). There's also a bus that takes you to Arcachon center.
