We used the Saint Georges as a one night stopover whilst heading towards Spain.It was clean and staff were very friendly and helpful.Parking was behind secure gates. We were very late but were directed to an excellent Pizza restaurant around the corner.It was just what we needed after a very long drive.

We had a one night stopover in Avignon and had not appreciated the arts festival was at that time. We were lucky to find any hotel which could take us, we were especially lucky it was this one.
We were met with friendliness , our luggage was cared for as we had arrived so early and it was transferred to our room. A taxi was booked for the next day to take us to the airport.
We were pleased with the room which was spotless , newly painted and a good size with a very comfortable bed. It was very quiet . Breakfast next morning was served in the courtyard.
The ten minute walk to the town walls is along a main road but it can be travelled by bus no. 3.

This hotel is clean and fairly basic. We stayed 3 nights in July. It is about 15 mins walk from the main centre of Avignon.We went during the festival and had a fantastic time. Make sure you have good walking shoes due to cobbled streets. Breakfast at hotel was continental and very fresh. Nice outdoor area. The staff are excellent and the owner was extremely helpful and friendly. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Hughes (pronounced Hugo) was super helpful. We checked in very late and he arranged everything in advance.
Breakfast was good and nice to sit out side.
Car park feels secure if you have a car loaded up with stuff whilst travelling on.
The whole place is pretty basic and a little dated but clean, you get what you pay for. Great place for a stop over.

I booked this hotel for stop over on the way back from a month long trip to the Cote D'azure, it is a budget hotel, within walking distance of the old city of Avignon. The staff were incredibly helpful giving very useful advice regarding the city and what to see and do with limited time. The room was basic but clean with plenty of hot water, free WIFI and air conditioning. I spent 24 hours there, enjoying one of the best meals of my trip thanks to the advice provided - see separate review. Breakfast was , I would say good , by french standards, orange juice, hot drinks and a buffet offering various items to go with bread and croissants served on a pleasant patio. I was very satisfied with the whole experience and left a tip. But no lift , if that is a problem for some visitors !
