Even with grey, overcast weather, my partner and I had the most wonderful time. We both felt a sense of calm and peace once we were settled in with magnificent rural views and a warm inviting feeling. Robyn goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable in every way possible while at the same time being respectful of your time. The rooms have so much character and feel like a home away from home while offering comfort, space and excellent amenities. Nice job Robyn and Andy. We will be back!!

Wow, where do I start. The hosts are super friendly and their hospitality is just spectacular. They know all of the touristy, but Especially the awesome non-touristy things to do. Ask about the kayaking glow worm tour, it was brilliant! We had the South Stable for 3 nights and loved every moment. It was stunningly fitted out, high ceilings, a wonderfully comfortable bed, a gorgeous kitchen and loungeroom & a clawed bathtub straight out of a romantic novel. We drank in the breathtaking views every morning with our breakfast. A perfect way to start each day. The area around this place is gorgeous in so many ways. We would return in a heartbeat. One of The best places to stay in North Island.

The place is convenient to Hobbiton, well as convenient as you can get I guess as it is out in the middle of nowhere. The scenery is nice and the place looks good. The room was small but adequate, we were just staying one night and would be back late as we were booked on the Evening tour at Hobbiton so just really needed a place to sleep. The problems were on check in the Women was not welcoming at all, if fact she was actually kind of rude. Seemed like we were bothering her or something. There is no AC but there is a Fan (pretty common in NZ). The breakfast is a Joke! A couple of small boxes of high fiber cereal, instant coffee and one container of yogurt for 2 people. We did not even eat it, just went somewhere on our way and had breakfast. Way over priced for what you get.

My husband and I booked Huntington Stables for our weekend trip to Hobbiton. We could not have enjoyed our stay more. Great accomodation, great hosts. Robyn and family were so accomodating of our two small dogs - so much so that they were the first people they wanted to see the following morning. We could not recommend this place highly enough and we will be back - THANK YOU for a wonderful experience!

What a comfortable, lovely stay!
This what more than we could have hoped for...close to town, yet far from traffic. It was a special place to become acquainted with New Zealand.
Owner welcomed us and helped us make arrangements for our adventures. Offered to provide ride to town, if we were going to partake in spirits.
Cold beverages provided for evening. Delicious local fruit in our room for breakfast. Special treats, which I don't want to spoil all of the surprises!
This was our first stop after traveling from USA, what a high bar to have set!
