This was the first time we held our meeting in this place. Judging by the quality of the food, service, and location, we should come back next year.
It is only one block east of Michigan Ave, next door to Northwestern Hospital. It is conveniently close to many restaurants, and the neighborhood feels safe.

Staff is exceptional! Location is great ... a quick walk to the Mag Mile! Just make sure you know which Hyatt Centric you are headed to ... there are 2 in downtown Chicago! We had an amazing room and a restful stay.

We switched to this hotel in the middle of our vacation due to a very upsetting experience at the hotel we were at at the beginning of our trip. I had originally looked into staying at the Hyatt before booking anywhere else, but due to some of the prices i decided otherwise. But after staying 2 nights with a hotel that was no where near as nice as the Hyatt, and paying just as much, we decided to switch! Needless to say, i think i will be staying with Hyatts from now on.

The Hyatt Centric is is located midpoint just off of the Mag Mile making it a great location for shopping Michigan Ave. On the down side it is also next to Northwestern University Medical School's Emergency Room to the north so you might think it would be noisy. Our room was on the south side of the hotel and had a white noise player and earplugs so there was no problem with sirens disturbing our sleep. The Decor is modern but warm. The corner room we had was larger than most hotel rooms and clean. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. In fact when I found that a Mont Blanc pen had been left behind and contacted the hotel, they immediately searched for and found the pen and notified me within fifteen minutes stating that I could expect the pen in the mail. This type of service raises my "very good" rating to "excellent". We go to Chicago 3-4 times a year and will definitely stay at the Hyatt Centric in the future.

I only stayed for two nights to attend a conference onsite. This is the first time I've stayed here, and my expectation was that it would be a "typical" Hyatt experience. I was pleasantly surprised that my expectations were far exceeded.
The location is fantastic. You're right in the middle of many great places to eat and shop.
The service was great. The staff was attentive and polite.
The food was great, too. I got a burger from the Level Two restaurant, and it was one of the best I've ever had. I even cheated with their cheesecake for dessert - and it was well worth it. It's also nice that Starbucks is on the street level of the hotel.
My room was on the top (17th) floor. It was clean and well laid out. I loved the robe. It was a jersey/cotton mix (see photos), and you were welcome to take it home with you (for $190, I believe). In the bathroom, there was a Drybar blow dryer - very nice - and you could take it home as well.
The check-in/check-out process was seamless. I took care of everything through the app. Just had to pick up my room key from the front desk.
If I'm ever in downtown Chicago again, this hotel will be at the top of my list.
