Easy walk to the Pavilion, great service, wonderful pool bar and light meal on the second floor. Parking is close by and the surrounding area is upscale. Starbucks right across the street. Highly recommended

A Jewel of a Hotel

colleenb653 on 11/06/2017 10:39

This hotel is like a jewelry box. It sparkles, it has flair and uniqueness about it, but has the Hyatt name to give it continuity and known service of the brand. Every staff member we met gave us a warm smile and good ol' Texas hospitality. Though we are not from out-of-town, we felt we were on a mini-vacation with the exclusive feel of the Market Street area and all we could do from that location without ever driving the car. The pool on the terrace is attractive and the perfect temperature. The room had black-out curtains that kept the light out and the decor of our room had whimsy and an eclectic feel that stands out from other hotels. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom well-stocked with toiletries. The service at the restaurant for breakfast was good and the food was delicious. They feature a lot of choices with local flair, especially with the spices. We felt at home during our stay. I hope to stay again for another event at The Woodlands.

Convenient Location for Fun Weekend

Ashlie L on 09/06/2017 18:32

My husband and I came with some family and friends over the weekend recently so he could compete in a local sporting competition. We had never stayed there before so we didn't realize that is was actually fully inside the shopping center, we thought it was just outside the shopping area but when we got there we realized it was right in the middle after driving around for a minute.

What a fun location! I could see some people maybe not liking that it is right in the middle of everything, but I found it so convenient. We only needed to get our car from valet when we needed to drive outside of the shopping complex. But if you are there for entertainment you may not need to leave! There are several good restaurants, a ton of great shops, some convenience stores, and a movie theater all within walking distance. And even if you want to walk over to the nearby mall it's really quite close. Though you might want to drive if you plan on leaving with a lot of bags!

Beyond the convenience of the location and how fun the area is, the hotel itself is also very nice. The lobby entry was quite cute! And while we did not end up going to the bar/pool area, we could see it from our room and it was a really nice area that looked like a lot of fun. Our room was right over this area and we could hear the live music, so it was quite a lively atmosphere on a Friday/Saturday evening. If you do need to get to sleep early though, I would recommend that you request a room away from this area so you are not disturbed. The live music was over early enough though so that it didn't bother us, but I could see guests potentially staying out there later and being loud perhaps being a problem for some people. But we did not notice this at all.

The staff was very nice and accommodating with anything we needed. They made restaurant reservations for us and were always very friendly. I wish I could remember the name of the woman at the front desk because she was such a wonderful resource and so sweet! I do remember she had big, long beautiful dark curly hair! But she was great, always remembering our names, making nice conversation, assisting with reservations and information we might need, etc. Very intuitive service.

And on our way checking out on Sunday morning the other woman at the front desk made sure to congratulate my husband on winning his competition! We did not mention to her that he had won or spoken with her at all during our stay. I am assuming that someone in our party was very excited about it and must have said something to her, but for her to make sure she mentioned it to us on the way out was a very nice touch.

The rooms were also very nicely done. I enjoyed the color scheme and the way everything was decorated. It was stylish but not too trendy, and very comfortable. I did notice scratches and nicks on some of the furniture, but it wasn't really that noticeable. I work in the hotel business, so someone who doesn't might not catch those things. But despite those little things, everything was clean and orderly and very nicely kept.

We ordered room service for breakfast both mornings and it was prompt exactly at the time I requested. Everything was hot and delicious! I was surprised at the offerings they had as a lot of hotels have very standard breakfast offerings. It was all very good and reasonably priced. My husband really enjoyed the breakfast sandwich with brisket, so much that he ordered it both morning. We also ordered dessert late one night and it was very good as well, the S'mores cake and vanilla ice cream.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back sometime when we have more time to enjoy the shops and movie theater. We will be back!

Great service!

We were visiting family and this was a convenient location with valet parking (due to incoming inclement weather). Our arrival was late in the evening and the valet was quick to get our luggage and take care of our car. The location is fantastic with incredible shops and restaurants right outside the hotel door! The only downside was that the hotel is really in need of some TLC; they need to update the rooms, due to heavy use. I would definitely come back.

Great Place

Dawnya S on 04/06/2017 00:07

Wow. What a great place. Didn't really think about staying here before. We did a little staycation. Valets were nice and helpful. Front desk upgraded us to a King Executive Suite without even asking. Rooms were great a spacious. Only complaint was water in the room was $5 a bottle. So bring your own! We ended up at the bar downstairs for a couple of drinks - bartenders were great as well. We will definitely be back. Great experience.
