Came to Montreal for the Can/Am hockey tournament in Pierrefonds. The team wanted to stay in downtown Montreal. This hotel is in a great central location where you can walk to any destination. You can walk to the Bell Centre for a hockey game, you can walk to Old Montreal and you can walk to a ton of shopping. The hotel is also attached a nice small mall and liquour store which was really convenient. A Starbucks and Eggspectations are just outside the hotel. Staff were helpful with any questions. You have to take an elevator to the lobby and then another set of elevators to your room. Not great with luggage and hockey equipment but you make due. The hotel has a pool and a well equipped gym that we all used. There are patient lifeguards on site especially when 50 hockey players are in the pool at once. Thought it would be loud each night with screaming kids in the halls but security had it all under control. Rooms are small for a family of four. 2 doubles only - not queen - small doubles. Pillows are the soft mushy ones. Bathroom is small and dark. No hooks or clothing lines in the shower to hang up wet towels and bathing suits. Room was clean - no complaints. Hotel overall was very clean and safe. They have a nice morning buffet for breakfast each day and their main lounge and restaurant are ok. expensive but service was good - again considering she was attacked by a hockey team all starving and wanting to eat at 9 pm. Are there better hotels in Montreal? Sure but you get good value here based on location.

Just got back from 5 days in Montreal for a conference. The hotel is ok at best. Most staff I interacted with were very friendly and accommodating, but the layout is not great, the food was meh, the location was great. The hotel has one lounge and they booked it for a private party, so we had nowhere to take a break. And they only had one staff to help us. The drinks at our receptions were very expensive, but when we did get to the lounge, drinks were reasonable, so no consistency.

Stayed at the Hyatt for a convention. Room was fine, staff were friendly. What wasn't acceptable was the renovations in progress. Woken up at 6 am on 2 days due to construction crews. First time, thought it was a noisy neighbor, second time was definite construction noise. No previous notice by the hotel, only found some earplugs left on the nightstand by the cleaning staff. Called to complain, was told to talk to the day manager. Since I was checking out that day, never got to speak to a manager. Will be following up.

When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the gentleman at the valet parking. Unfortunately, our pleasant experience did not continue. We were told that our room was not ready when we arrived, however we arrived well after the check in time. We were offered a king bed, but we had asked for two beds. We declined the king and questioned why our reservation was not ready. We were then told there is a room for us. We go to the room. Aside from the fact that the room had pubic hair on the bathroom floor, and some stains on the door frame, we decided to try and look on the bright side and have a drink to begin our weekend celebration. Our room has a wine bucket and a bottle opener, but no wine glasses. We called reception to request glasses, and we were told that we would have to wait until room service opens at 5 in order to get glasses delivered to our room. It is ironic that the welcome book clearly states a “promise of excellence”, that they have failed to deliver upon. Considering the price you pay per night, this is very disappointing to say the least.

Needed an early check in after a long day of travelling, didnt have a room ready. The last time i stayed here they checked us in to a room which had not been cleaned and was still occupied. Wish i stayed somewhere else
