I have stayed at much better Hyatt resorts. Rooms were just okay. I would rate better if the bedding was decent. There were no blankets on the bed, and felt like sheets only. I found there was an extremely thin "comforter" the thickness of a third sheet. Terrible. TV and channel selections were good. The mini bar would not open and I had to ask for it to be fixed four times over the course of two days before someone fixed it. Housekeeping was good.
Rooms are old and you can hear the use of showers and toilets from the rooms next door.
A/C was good.
Room service was timely but meals were very mediocre. Only order if you don't have another choice or are too tired to go out. Their highly recommended carrot cake tasted like a refrigerator--awful and could not eat.
Best meal: I went to Dawson's restaurant my last night at the hotel. This restaurant was awesome! I dined solo but still received prompt and excellent service. The Filet with red wine reduction was one of the best steaks I have ever had. Whipped potatoes and baby gem salad were both excellent, as was the chocolate soufflé. If you stay at this property be sure to dine at Dawson's.
Location of this hotel is perfect if you need to attend events at the convention center. I would stay again if I attend another conference at the convention center.
Kudos: Shout out to front desk staff member, Nick. He is extremely personable, helped make my stay better and found a Keurig coffee maker for my room. Thank you, Nick, for going above and beyond! Another shout out to Jen, who was always so helpful and pleasant in taking my room service orders.
With some bedding upgrades, better room service food and few service upgrades this property could be so much better--as a Hyatt should be.

Great place near Capital in Sacramento, near International World Peace Rose Garden - also a quick walk to Il Fornaio; Wells Fargo, and other places. Of course, near Convention Center. The old buildings are very nice to look at.

The Hyatt Sacramento was a wonderful hotel for my recent business trip. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, the conference room was well equipped and well designed. The location was convenient. The food was excellent, and the staff was very helpful.

Is the best place to stay in Sacramento. If you need to be in the downtown area, it is well located and well run. The rooms are showing a little bit of age, but the lobby area has been totally redone. They have two restaurants in good room service. I also have a pretty decent pool but you have to walk through the off to get to it. Not so pleasant. Well most guests that want to stay in a capital view room, that side of the hotel can get noisy because the loading dock is located directly below those rooms and you can hear trucks pulling in early in the morning. Same for buses idling out on the street in front of the hotel. They run their diesel engines for hours, including late at night.

I just don't know what else to say go to the restaurant for food!
