Great location 100yds off Times Square, typical Hyatt rooms, NYC rooms are normally small, this isn't that bad, nice bathroom. Bar54 a great hang out and view surprisingly on 54th floor:-). Valet parking ($65 per night..ouch) , modern bar downstairs as well. Good choice.

Had a good stay here. The property is well placed right where it should be. Lots to go around it. Room services are good. The staff was soo friendly. Rooms are small but nicely decorated. You cant expect a bigger room for the same rates in that area.

Best Hyatt we've ever stayed in -- hands down. From the Front Desk agents, housekeeping, doorman, security to the spa employees -- these amazing people bend over backwards to accommodate the guest. Every person we encountered was extremely helpful and friendly. We had two queen beds (deluxe room) with breathtaking views. Comfy beds, down comforter and pillows. Slept like a baby. The shower was huge with two different water attachments (waterfall & spray nozzle). Only concern -- carpet was stained from heavy foot traffic. Must try Marilyn Monroe Spa -- VIP treatment worth the price. Restaurant in lobby was delicious for breakfast. This Hyatt is in the heart of Time Square close to all shopping and shows. Cannot wait to come back to NYC so we can stay at Hyatt Centric. Guess the secret is out now -- won't stay anywhere else while in NYC. Keep up the great work Hyatt--see you next time.

If this is your first time traveling to New York like it was for us you NEEEEEED to stay at Hyatt Centric. I was so stressed out because of the overwhelming amount of hotel options NY has but thank God I read a review and took a chance with Hyatt Centric and I literally felt like 5 star service! The view of our room on the 50th was just breathtaking. The staff and Alex DeChagas Made us feel first class! He is very accommodating and we traveled here for our first anniversary and we walk into our room with a dozen roses and a champaigne bottle. The location is just so convenient , after walking all day you are very tired and achy, it's nice to take the subway whether you are updtown or lower manhattan and being able to exit 42nd street. You exit 42nd street and walk a few streets up to 45th and boom your there. The lobby had this great scent everyone we walked AC cross it. There is a rooftop bar as well and we took advantage of the Marilyn Monroe Spa at this Hyatt location and wow!! It was a 50 min couples massage and during the massage I felt so relaxed I think I slept and woke up. Thank you Hyatt Family, for pampering us and Making my wife and I feel welcome!

Great location! Stayed here two years ago & was so impressed & happy stayed again. At $400.00+ a night you expect a little extra; like we did 2 yrs ago. Rooms need major updating. First room carpet was filthy! We changed our room to a little better room. Housekeeping has slipped. Somedays trash wasn't emptied. Floor not vacuumed. Towels thin & scratchy. They used to have such attention to detail & guest services. Not so much anymore. Definitely not $400.00+/night attention.
