What People are saying

Accessible rooms.

The location was excellent for this time of year - the changing (red) foliage combined with old barns and pasteural scenes were magnificent. It was also fun to drive around looking at homes - old and new - located in ideal places for skiing.

Great value. Good Service

Great rooms.
TV system works well even though the mobile app remote is crap - stick to plastic.
Fast Internet available.
Great American style breakfast though dining-hall gets very noisy when fully booked.
Great helpful people.

When "Chateau" looses its luster

The room we got at the Chateau is what they call a Premium Room, 1 Queen Bed.
Nothing premium about it except that it was clean.
The room was located right by the elevator so you could hear every elevator chime, the hall conversations while people were waiting for the elevator (which was slow to arrive every time) and the most annoying was the early breakfast service when the wheels of the breakfast cart would jump out of the elevator making a loud rattling plate and glassware noise.
It was a warmer than usual October so we needed to turn on the AC in the room. Every time this old machine would turn on it would make a loud rattling noise for 5 seconds before finally settling at its usual db level. Forget opening the window; the water heavily dripping from the clogged eves-troughs was too loud.

The food at the Quatre Canards restaurant was decent but the presentation is far from what is advertised online and on brochures. The mis-en-bouche was an oily tomato/basil skewer placed on a paper doily (so much for the presentation)...
The waiters were kind but the lack of management left them serving you in an upscale restaurant the way you get served in a diner: not knowing the dishes nor the wines very well, not knowing who order what when bringing the meals, and stacking everything when clearing the table.

I gave the management a chance to redeem themselves on our checkout, pointing out all the things that were wrong with the room. Instead of saying sorry and offering something as a complimentary gesture, they just went on and charged me the $13 of chips, mixed nuts and water I had while in the room.

All in all the weekend was pleasant thanks to the nice vineyards in the region, but I would definitely not recommend this hotel unless every other similarly rated hotel in the region is booked and you need to go on very specific dates.

Sorry Chateau Bromont you will not see me back there any time soon.

Romantic Getaway

Overall great first experience at this hotel. I booked this hotel about 2 weeks before the Thanksgiving weekend and was able to find availability - a jr suite with queen size bed, wood fireplace and view of the interior pool. When we arrived at the hotel around 11:00am, the staff at check-in was very welcoming. Our room was not ready yet (check-in is as of 4pm usually) but they did a pre-check-in and offered to call us when it was available. I mentioned that it was our anniversary weekend and asked for an exterior view. Unfortunately for us, the hotel was pretty booked but she made the effort to actually look which was appreciated. About 45 min later, we received the call that our room was ready. We returned to the hotel a short while later. Our room was beautiful and clean. No missing towels, soaps, etc... The only thing that struck me was the funny smell in the room. We couldn't pin point it at first but then realized it was the smell of the ashes from the fireplace. I don't think they clean it out often. Next time we'll book an exterior view with an electric fireplace - the wood fireplace isn't worth sacrificing the exterior view. That evening we called the front desk and asked them to come and light the fireplace (guests are not permitted to light the fireplace themselves), someone was at our door in 5 minutes flat. The next evening we wanted to enjoy one of the hot tubs on the terrace. Once again, we called the front desk to ask for robes and someone was at our door within a few minutes. The hot tubs were clean and functional - we got lucky and got to enjoy one all to ourselves. We decided to have breakfast at the 4Canards restaurant before check out on our last day. Nice restaurant with a great view. Very basic breakfast buffet - not a huge selection. The buffet space is very small and felt cramped when waiting in line for food. They had one chef making omelets and crepes at a very small station....the wait was kind of a bummer. We don't really recommend it for 19.95$ per person plus tax and tip - not worth the price. We ate better at the quaint restaurants in the old village for less money. As I said in the beginning, overall great experience - we will be returning!
