This was a stopover for us. The room was clean and comfortable with tea and coffee facilities and a hairdryer. The bathroom had an over bath shower. Breakfast was OK. The hotel was just across from the station and a short walk from the Petit France area.

I stayed at this hotel for some time from March- April 2017. In general it was fine, the only things I would say are that there is no restaurant which was a problem for me, and the one night I wanted room service, the kitchen reportedly had a problem and had to shut down. Several of my items of clothing that I sent to be washed with the laundry service came back unwashed. However the staff are all very helpful and friendly and it is a great location near to Homme de Fer station and the room was good. Breakfast was good too. I wouldn't advise a long stay but it would be good for a few nights.

So this is a typical mercure, clean, reasonably comfortable, very friendly staff.
I was just hesitating 3 or 4 stars:
3 starts because my mattress was not very comfortable, probably quite old.
But 4 starts because of the friendly staff, good general state of the hotel and the view from the breakfast room on the top floor :-)
Also service: i had a very wary flight and they manage to got me a breakfast to go at 5am while breakfast doesn't open before 6:30 :-)
So all in all very good stay.

OK hotel, except for absence of electrical outlets for recharging and poorly designed bathroom. Staff friendly, room quiet. But the TV alarm went off at 6:30 AM. Being ffom the US and having taken a sleeping pill at two am, very much not appreciated. Enough to ruin a stay.

The hotel is ideally placed to visit the Strasbourg Xmas market and Petite France, everything is in walking distance. A nice vin chaud is being served in the evening, which was appreciated. The beds are very comfortable, and the room was quiet and clean. We slept very well. But the decor of the room is terrible. Various shades of green and purple, with purple curtains... No daylight and even with all electric lights on one remains in semi darkness. There is no ventilator in the bathroom, so after the first shower it is completely steamed up. Breakfast on top floor was disappointing, but with a nice view. No restaurant or even a bar, guests are being asked to go to the hotel next door (Sofitel, also Accor Group). We found this strange. On the day of departure the cleaning lady made it very clear that she wanted us out of the room, lots of banging etc and a comment when we finally left the room. Not sure what she said but her face said it all...
