Perfect location in Paris. The hotel is quite central, very helpful staff, excellent service, well sized room, clean and comfortable. Overall I had a very good experience and would recommend the hotel.

My daughter and I stayed at Hotel Scribe for 9 days this month. We were so pleased with the hotel. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the bathroom was great, the concierge staff so helpful, and the location couldn't be better. Very close to two Metro stations - Madeleine and Operal. This is a short review but we couldn't have been happier and can't wait to return.

Hotel Scribe is a very beautiful and cosy hotel with really nice deco and artworks at each floor.
It is conveniently located and of walking distance to places of attractions, Michelin rated restaurants, cafes and Les Galeries Lafayette.
Check in was a Breeze, the lady who attended to us on the 4Nov AM was polite, prompt and professional.
Unlike Sofitel in Asia; Sofitel Scribe in Paris does not have the basic amenities like toothbrush, toothpaste, pillows selection or a simple welcome drink (the drink ain’t impt, just felt the consistency differs from country to country even though they may be carrying the same brand Sofitel). Plus point is they have a small kettle which most European hotels do not provide.
Room is very neat and spacious with good views of the streets.
Bedsheets are a tad old though clean. One of the flatsheet used for one of the days had a prominent small hole at the edge.. and I was surprised it was still used...
Complimentary water, toothpaste, facial cotton, shaving kit, coffee capsules are not replenished on a daily basis; we have to request for it and then it will be replenished. Towards the end, we give up requesting for items to be replenished; we end up purchasing our own drinking water.
It’s a pleasant surprise and delight to have a simple Nespresso machine in the room; however we are also surprised that the Housekeeping will not clear away the used capsules daily when they clean the room...We need to clear it ourselves.
Tissue box which was replenished daily was often half filled, or was not replenished at all on a few days even though it was pretty obvious it was almost used up..
Check in was a Breeze; but check out was not really smooth or convenient even you are a Le Club AccorHotels Member.
There is no drop box at the counter for the room keys and it doesn’t help when the lady at the counter on 11 Nov 17; 7AM shift was not really the best of mood; nor that prompt and she was a tad impolite.
Eyes were subtly rolled at a customer in front of me coz he was requesting to change his bigger euro notes to small ones and frustrations & impatience was clearly showed on her face.
When she seemed abit more avail, I told her we were checking out. The lady gave me an impatient reply and asked me to wait for my turn....
Guess a drop box for keys will be great idea to avoid a customer having such situations on their last day and they may be rushing.
Overall it’s a very beautiful hotel with great warm service staff; compliments to the concierge ladies who always have a smile on their face ... and the jovial bellboys (except minus the lady whom I encountered on the last day)
Guess abit more effort can be done in the Housekeeping... I read from the last few reviews that some guests seems to have all the amenities that our room was lacking — at the end I felt consistency is really needed across all Sofitel hotels ard the world if u want each traveller to feel the same regardless which country they are in; meaning from the basic stuff like amenities and check in and check out procedures..
I may not come bk to Scribe again; but I will still stay in other Sofitel hotels ard the world or in other part of Paris if I travel to France again... as is because of the great service and plpe of this brand in other countries that make me choose Paris Scribe then... nevertheless, till we meet again Paris.

Excellent staff. Beautiful furnishings and appointments. Plus part of Paris' history. First moving picture ever screened. Rooms were very comfortable and bathrooms were spacious. Breakfast was very tasty with a lot of variety. Great location just around the corner from the Paris Opera House. Plenty of eateries within walking distance.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. It was a taxi ride from the Eiffel Tower and walking distance to the Opera House. The concierge was very helpful and had lots of suggestions. We had breakfast in the morning which was very good. The bar service was outstanding indoors and outdoors. I Highly recommend the hotel with all its charm. The rooms were a good size and the bathroom was fantastic!!
