We Stayed at Iapetos Village 24th May - 30th May (ROOM 27). Our Flight out was delayed by 2 1/2 Hours from Stansted. Probably done us a Favour as we stayed overnight at the Kresten Palace Hotel on Rhodes. Room was lovely as we missed evening meal we were told to order a light meal from the Bar free of Charge. Another nice touch were the free vouchers for a massage at the Spa Centre if we had had time the next day. Breakfast was included.
The Hotel Grounds are lovely and well kept. Our Room (27) was at the rear of the Hotel next to the Pool.
It was nice and quiet most of the time (LOL mis-timed half term at UK Schools so some Children were at the Hotel The Pool it cold, not good for those with a weak heart. It did have a nice Sun trap behind the Pool Wall.
Room was spotless and well maintained. Towels were changed daily. Nice touch by the Hotel was the Bottle of Wine on Arrival. The WiFi was free but hit and miss. I don't know if using (perhaps having to pay) the Iapetos secure WiFi made any difference.
The Shower cubicle was small. Im average height so someone of a large build may struggle. The Water was always hot with a good pressure.
Breakfast was fine with a choice of Cereals, Greek Yoghurt, Jam's Continental Breakfast Choices and pastries. I never had the hot option so cannot comment on those. My wife and I did think the Coffee was on the weak side (Being Polite), even the espresso wasn't strong.
We only had alcoholic drinks twice 12 Euros for a Large Beer and a small Bottle of Wine (Enough for two glasses).
The Hotel is ideally positioned with a nice 3-4 minute walk into the Town Square & start of the Harbour area.
We choose this Hotel for it's location and pool but on reflection, did not need the pool. I would recommend this Hotel but when we return to Symi we will probably stay elsewhere. Not because Iapetos Village is bad far from it as it definitely meet our expectations.
We took UK Sterling with us and changed it at the Two Banks on the Harbour Front. Both Closed at 2 P.M each day Mon-Friday. They do have ATM'S which can be accessed at the Weekends.
On our return to Rhodes we stayed at the Kassandra Apartments in the Resort of Ixia, not a patch on the Kresten Palace, enough said!!!

I love Symi and this hotel. Breakfast was good. There was a kitchen in our room and we prepared our meals too. Rooms are wide and useful. Staircase can be difficult for old people but here is a seat on ground floor and it can return a bed.

This is the fifth time we have been to Symi and the forth different accomodation. Where as I have rated Taxiarchis 5 stars in the past this is superior. As far as I know it has the only swimming pool on the island. Our room is very spacious and clean with a big balcony. Air con and safe are free. Kitchenette includes full oven and fridge freezer. It may be a bit dearer than most, we got a good deal through Monarch Holidays, but if you can you should push the boat out and come here.

A lovely 2 day stay in a very peaceful self contained development. Out door breakfast self served from cellar breakfast room. Good choice and quality.
Roofed open pool looked ok - sheltered and shaded.
Minor usuals like no plug in basin but overall very comfortable. Free (400m) transfer to port.

I have stayed at Iapetos Village on two separate occasions - once in winter and once in Summer and both times were absolutely AMAZING! The rooms are so lovely and the breakfast is delicious. It is just a short walk from the harbour, which is so beautiful. The family that runs Iapetos Village are such lovely people and go above and beyond. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
