Nice hotel

Just back from our stay here with 2 young children. Hotel it’s self is lovely and clean, the entertainment staff were brilliant, my boys loved it! Really good pool and plenty of activities for everyone. Our room overlooked the beach, good location. My only complain is that one of our party has a severe nut allergy and the restaurant is full of them! Most nights there were peanuts sprinkled over most puddings, placed on tables outside when the children’s entertainment is on which isn’t good with young kids esp with the allergy, that part had me constantly on edge but that’s my only moan, everything else was brilliant :-)
Hardly kid friendly

Very nice hotel, spacious rooms lovely gardens and pool areas. Cannot fault hotel itself.
However our Holiday is being sadly ruined by Parents smoking (quite alot of them in the children's Mini Disco area.) Shame on those parents for not only damaging their own children's health but my grandsons also who said he couldn't breathe it was so bad, we went back to our room at 8:15 two evenings in a row our evenings ruined.
Iberostar you say your kid friendly - seriously ? You need to change your smoking policy in areas where there are children/ minors why should they breathe in toxic fumes by selfish others???
Won't be back for this reason only.
Perfect for families with kids

First visit for us, and it was excellent. Especially food, and service (special mention for Manuela and Sonia, they were so nice with pur son Aaron...). Location is also perfect, and the beach is fantastic. A couple of things to improve though. 1/ The quality of the kids show could be improved. The guys work well, don't get me wrong, but the show is kinda monotonous at times, and every day almost the same music... come on! There are so many nice songs for kids out there! 2/ Cleaning ladies work very well but otfen are too noisy. Be quiet! 3/ Linked to this: soundfproofing really bad. Room doors are oldish and every noise gets into the room. Kids - and parents - need to sleep well and soundproofing is essential! Please invest some money in replacing those doors!!!
Great for families

We really had a great time in September in this hotel. I'll just point out a few things you may want to know before you go:
- language: mostly German, British visitors, but I heard other languages too. Hotel personnel speak to you in whatever language you may choose.
- location: quiet area. If you need some animation in the evening, you may search for a different hotel. Literally on the beach.
- beach: several hotels in a row on the beach, so it could be quite crowded during summer. But hte beach is great, waters are shallow, great for the kids.
- food: really good, much better than what we found in other family oriented hotels. Mostly freshly made, not many things coming out of a can or frozen, good choice, variation through the week, really appreciated it.
- pools: clean, pool for kids with small slides, colourful characters. Kinda cold in September, as it was shadowed in the morning.
- animation team: great for kids. Really nice team, they cover baby club, mini club, daily sports offer, evening sows, they work hard and are very professional (dancers, sports, circus trained) . The team is hand piked and it's really impressive to see all they can do and how many languages they speak.
- services: as many other hotels, they offer services on site (massage, hairdressing, etc). I tested the massage centre for a back pain, it helped!
- personnel: they will do their best to help you with whatever you need.
- Abufera Park and Abufera Playa - they are practically connected, one is for the families and one is for ...the rest of the non-crying-in-the-middle-of-the-night rest of the population:). You have access to pools and restaurants on both sides.
- playgrounds: they have a playground at the end of the restaurant for the kid, which is great! in the clubs (miny and babyclubs). There's a playground just in front of the hotel, with swings, slides.
- rooms: had a family room,
Not so good: the smell! the sewage smell, present almost every evening, and not avoidable even in the rooms (as there is a ventilation system in the room which is independent of the aircon, and you don't have control on it). the personnel will tell you it's because of the natural reservation ...it's not! IT smell like sh%t and its because of sewage issues. My husband goes out running every day and he saw workers on sites of sewage entries in the streets on several days. They have a problem. and it stinks!
Had I been pregnant, for me it would be a deal breaker!
Suggestions: the baby club could use more toys, books.
Many thanks for a great time here!
First all inclusive

After searching the internet for days trying to find the perfect hotel for our first family all inclusive I came across this little gem
The holiday was brilliant from start to finish and I can honestly say this hotel has the most friendly staff I have ever come across they are always smiling and some were in for breakfast service and still in at the entertainment drinks so long days for them
The room was immaculate the maid came in every day we paid for a side sea view which in hindsight wasn’t really worth it we could see the sea though
The food was gorgeous always a great selection and very tasty
The entertainment staff were great my little boy is only 2 so he wasn’t to sure of Stella and starky but they always put on a good show and there to meet you at meal times
Overall I was very impressed with the hotel from start to finish we will be checking out other iberostar resorts when booking our next holiday
Not many English families there but not a chav in sight 😊
