If you love cigarette and cigar smoke and bad food...you will love this resort. Don’t get me wrong, there are good things...the beach and pool are nice, bar is good, great service too. Don’t get fooled by the “welcome packet of coupons! There are reasons things such as archery and riflery are not found on the website in pictures. There is nothing to do between 5 and 9:30 when the “shows” start. My older teens are very bored. We are divers thank goodness or we’d be in the same boat. The grounds are pretty with lots of wildlife. We won’t come back but do appreciate the hospitality.

Arrived mid-week to enjoy our second time to stay. The staff was very friendly and ensured our room location was assigned as we requested. The hotel has been renovated and the rooms had new amenities but still remain just 4 to a building with thatched roofs which gives it a great authentic atmosphere. Not a large hotel makes it easy to navigate. This is a hotel for divers and although we do not dive we still enjoyed the small private beach and were able to snorkel right off the pier. The food was fresh and if you like seafood... you will enjoy all the restaurants. The bar could make any drink 🍹 requests and were premium quality. All the staff were attentive and friendly. Even when a very rude couple ( not from USA) spoke to them for service in a hateful manner. Another man came into the lobby yelling and angry at the concierge because he needed a bandaid for his wife that scratched her knee. Through it all the staff did all possible to make these guests happy.
We stayed just two nights as the tour concierge offered to send us over to the mainland at the iberostar Tucan in Playacar. We accepted since our flight was out of Cancun and iberostar paid for taxis the ferry and we enjoyed our last few days at the iberostar tucan.

Had a wonderful trip here in November. The staff are all amazing, especially Alicia the Beach lady and all the Entertainment crew (David was also great at Stretch classes). Elizabeth and Alejandra on the Public Relations side also really looked after us. Johnny also looked after us well in the restaurant. We dived 6 times with Dressel divers which was superb (despite a really strong current one of the dives!!!)

Once again for the third time in the past 4 years my wife & I have had the very pleasurable experience of staying at this marvelous resort and partaking in most of the offered amenities that we enjoy. This resort seems to get better each time we visit. The joy of being greeted upon our arrival as if we were family members make one feel as if we were at our "home away from home". Sinfully abundant foods for the taste of any palate, gracious hugs & welcoming smiles make this resort a truly remarkable experience. Once again our Sincerest Thanks are extended to Erica of the Guest Services staff, and Erica of Star Friends, & Cindy of the Wait staff, it was great seeing you again. Thanks also to Larysha of Guest Services staff, as well as Christopher, Alex & David of Star Friends Thank You all for once again helping to make our stay at Iberostar Cozumel one which we shall long remember. Here's hoping we see you all again next year. Thanks Again for everything !

I had been to Iberostar numerous times and I'm glad to say that they have not stopped improving The Establishment with upgrades and maintenance. And new dining choices. But to comment on attitude, it is really nice to go to a place where you and your family just want to relax and unwind and be cheerful. But sometimes the environment has a role to play in that. When you are their the staff always has a smile on their face and I truly believe are extremely happy to be there and to be part of your experience. And more than willing to help you in any and every need. And nice to know that you're able to talk to upper management and staff including the chef on a one-on-one basis just like you're talking to your neighbor. If for nothing else to just talk about the day. The staff and the management has always made them self available. And always makes you feel like one of the family.
