When we arrived at the hotel our room was available right away and took only few minutes to check in with complimentary drink. Room was perfect- very clean (cleaning team every day made interesting towel animals with flowers). Buffet and restaurant stuff was very polite and always greeted you with smile on the face. Entertaining team was the best - I never experienced anything like I did this time- Erik, Samy, Tsunamy, Fresita, Leny, Mariela (everyone!) - amazing dancers and singers- had a blast dancing, playing crazy games, doing water aerobics and learning different dance moves. Hope to come back next year to see them all again. Thank you for making my vacation magical and thank you for everything, including the the great weather! ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
Exceeded our expectations

We spent a vacation in this resort the forth time. This time everything was on the highest level. I'd say, that the level of service on this resort is close to "Sandals" chain, but certainly much cheaper. The food was excellent everywhere, but especially in main buffet. The TV in rooms has plenty programs on different languages. The rooms equipped by the ports for charging different electronic equipment (I-phones, I-pads, kindles etc). Also you use the safe in room for free. On the beach and in the pools area the servicemen offer you any drinks.
We highly recommend this resort.
Excellent hotel and idyllic stay in Bayahibe

We have spent a great week in this hotel. The beach of white sand was idyllic and 2mn walking distance from our room. We had 2 rooms for the children and us with a connecting door. The rooms were very comfortable and large. The breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets were delicious and very varied. The staff was nice, smiling and always ready to help. Bayahibe was a great choice away from the crowdy Punta Cana. The garden was paradise on earth with the pink flamingos and peacocks. We all want to go back there.
Always the Best!

I am writing this review as an โIberostar The Clubโ Member. It is our\my 6th visit. This resort has the beach and calmest Caribbean Sea which is why we keep returning. All you would expect from an All Inclusive resort including lobster! Iโve had the same waiter Alberto from the beginning. The best!
A special mention to Katiuska at the Star Prestige lounge. She is the sweetest!
Coming back again and again. Although we do try other resorts we canโt find one as good as this.
Well worth booking...

We had a great stay at this hotel for 11 nights over October half term with our 11 year old daughter. There was nothing to fault with this hotel and it met our already high expectations.
Obviously as can be seen from guest photos the beach and pool environs were fantastic. There was a sufficiently large sandy beach and although the sea was rougher than usual for a couple of days swimming was suitable for all age and ability groups. This hotel appears to have one of the better beachfront locations on DR.
The hotel grounds were the star of the show and were always well maintained with an abundance of wildlife in the grounds.
Contrary to some reviews we found sunbeds readily available both on the beach and around the pool area. On some occasions the front row of sunbeds on the beach were occupied by 7.30am but I don't think this is unreasonable.
Food in general was of a good standard with sufficient variety to meet most of our tastes. A reasonable selection was available throughout the day and the paella they prepare by the beach snack bar weekly is certainly worth queuing for! We managed to book all the al-a-carte restaurants once or twice during our stay which were booked through our concierge Yaris (the hotel appears to allocate a concierge to all guests and she provided a fantastic service)- our personal favourite was the Colonial restaurant. Although there is supposed to be age restrictions for this it doesn't appear to operate.
It was a pleasant surprise that branded spirits (including jack daniels, Bombay sapphire and tankersley gin) were available in all bars, even the pool and beach bars throughout the day which is rarely the case in all the AIs we've visited. Possibly my main criticism would be the quality of wine available. Although bottles can be purchased these are expensive.
The hotel room (we were in Block 1) was kept clean and again was perfectly adequate for our purposes. The mini bar was replenished with a selection of beer water and soft drinks every day which was a nice touch. Although our room overlooked the theatre the noise wasn't an issue.
All the staff work hard and generally appear more cheerful than I have experienced in some other hotels. We did tip towards end of the holiday based on the quality of the service we had received but never felt that there was an expectation that we needed to tip in order to receive a decent service.
There was a large group of entertainment staff who work hard all day to keep the guests entertained. Amongst the team are some real characters such as Joel, Banana and Sexy. They certainly kept Jasmine our daughter entertained which helped as there no other English children to make friends with (not that this seemed to bother her!).
Although we got a taxi to Bayahibe on one occasion ($10 each way) and did a Saona Island trip it is largely a resort based holiday.
One pleasant aspect of the hotel was that there were almost no English guests at the hotel and a majority of the staff speak little English. This meant that we had to communicate with basic Spanish which I had no problem with. During our stay there were a good mix of guests with lot of Argentinian, German & French guests. There were a couple of large French family groups staying during the last few days and they were rather noisy and inconsiderate around the pool which proved this is not a preserve of English holidaymakers.
We read reviews regarding pressures of listening to sales pitches. We easily declined these approaches and weren't bothered after that. Also in our view the Prestige package wasn't worth the extra cost given the service received as a 'standard' guest.
In summary this hotel in our view is one of the best we have stayed in to date in terms the whole package it offers and if we return to DR we would have no hesitation in booking this hotel again.
