Doj Don 02/11/2017 20:16Typically functional Ibis in a great spot just a moments walk from the pedestrian friendly centre of Alencon (an unexpectedly pleasant town). Decent rooms and generous breakfast, though the restaurant area was a little tight for space. The bar was a welcome bonus too. Overall an ideal stop with great access and parking.
Good base for overnight stop travelling through France
Wendy jon 04/10/2017 19:41Small but functional rooms, fine for a quick overnight stop, parking is best on the street as the car park behind is quite small. Staff very helpful, good breakfast, no restaurant but look like they do simple room food.
Super overnight stay
lesleybM2863KFon 03/09/2017 15:35Hotel easy to find Short walk to centre where a corner bar allowed us to see all the major sights and choose which to visit. No need to pay motorway tolls to reach the coast since alternatives well signed from the hotel.
Our final night in France 2017
Patrick Ton 01/09/2017 20:11The final night of our French adventure 2017, ideal for most channel crossings. The town of Alencon was our choice with the Ibis hotel an ideal central location. We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who explaimed the parking arrangements which were very stressless.
Comfortable, basic hotel, as you would expect, with on street parking
Janis_OurWorldforYouon 16/08/2017 18:17We based ourselves in Alençon for 2 nights as part of our Normandy road trip and stayed at the IBIS Alençon. The location of the hotel is only about a 5 minute walk to the old town, and is fairly central overall.
The room was a reasonable size and well maintained. It didn't have aircon but a fan was supplied.
Staff were very friendly & helpful.
We didn't try the breakfast, we generally prefer a local café.
Worth noting the free Wifi was good.
If you are driving, there is on street chargeable parking in front of the hotel. The charge is fairly reasonable & you only pay from 9am to 12 & 2pm until 5pm.
All in all a good hotel, it's certainly worth considering if you are staying in Alençon. We would certainly stay here again.
