Small hotel. Friendly, efficient staff. I was under the impression that this was a new hotel...opened in May. However, it's possibly re-branded. The room was clean, as was the bathroom. The air conditioning did not work & the window catch was broken (which we fixed). The restaurant has a limited, but reasonable menu...food was nice. Breakfast excellent. Stayed on both legs of the journey & will probably stay again in the future.

Average Ibis hotel. Had stayed here years ago when the chain was relatively new. Place is showing its age and needs a redo. However, for the price these plastic places are ok for an overnighter and in this case the buffet breakfast was worth the extra $20. The rooms are pretty much all the same, some with views of the quiet woody setting, small, but all with modern shower facilities.
As usual the staff at these places is welcoming, friendly and efficient. This Ibis is located a little bit outside the city of Amboise and is situated in a quiet little neighborhood with free parking. Free wifi is also offered.
Be sure to visit the chateau and adjacent chapel where the remains of Leonardo are supposedly interred.

Thankfully only stayed 1 night as the room was small and a bit depressing.
The public space / reception looks quite modern and up to date but our room was tired and in need to refurbishment.
The bathroom is in need of a good deep clean to remove lots of black mould from around the bath. Very off putting - certainly didn't want to sit in that bath!
1 thin worn out towel each which wasn't great. Hard to wash long hair in this situation.
Basic shower gel provided and a hair dryer.
No tea/ coffee facilities in the room.
Plenty of free parking although it did get very busy.
Not sure I would use this hotel again at this time.

First night of two. Wonderful bed and soft pillows. Great breakfast. Good location. Helpful staff. Here as a family of 7 people. Two seniors. One couple and three children. 18, 16, and 7. Loving the countryside.

Clean hotel room, en suite shower, food available 24 hours, good breakfast, plenty parking and very cheap.Very close to Amboise town with excellent restaurants. Very good value for money being only 72 eiros plus 10 euros each for breakfast. Friendly staff who can speak limited English.
