Graeme Don 04/11/2017 01:05Having had a problem with tyre blow out our insurance company booked us in this hotel. The hotel where great in helping us sort the problem and helping us sort or other bookings out in Spain can say all the staff where helpful and the food was good too
Excellent restaurant and attention in a typical Ibis
Vinicius Fon 31/10/2017 23:13The Ibis Bilbao Barakaldo can be a good option as a base for discovering Bilbao. Typical accomodations of Ibis chain, non typical (in the good side) attention from personnel, and suprising kitchen. Try the burger of the house.
Drool for improvement
Jock Bon 28/10/2017 09:54Restaurant very busy I observed two people serving and one cooking . We waited for 10 minutes with menus to place our order ( others were waiting longer) so we went to the mall next door and had our meal. Breakfast very good.
All staff most cooperative, helpful and friendly
Hard to find Hotel with basic room
Texas06on 27/10/2017 21:29We stayed here for 1 night. The hotel was difficult to find even though it is close to A8/E5. The GPS kept giving us wrong directions. We finally arrived quite late after a long drive from Biarritz.
The hotel is in a non residential area across from a mall, auto store and next to a dealership. There is an Ibis Budget right behind it. Parking was a hassle so we ended up parking by the gas station next door. The room was a basic Ibis room facing the road with a smallish bathroom. The hotel has a bar and restaurant which we did not eat at. The front desk staff was quite pleasant and informative.
There is a mall food court next to the dealership - a 2 min walk that had a few places to eat open till midnight. It has a burgher king, an Italian place and a Tapas bar which had very reasonable pricing.
If you are going to spend a few days in Bilbao I would suggest a different hotel closer to town in a better area.
Just the job
Paul Mon 20/10/2017 16:36Clean , conveniently located for the Bilbao ports , helpful staff, comfortable beds, good value overall including the buffet breakfast and was just the job for an overnight stopover . Rooms size ok. Could do with a few more sockets to charge phones.
