Having stayed in this hotel many times throughout the refurbishment, I can honestly say that the improvements in the main breakfast/dinner area look welcoming.
The rooms a re perfect for what you need them for and they each have a little handy hand held device installed as well as free wifi and digital TV.
There is no bath but there are showers in each room which are convenient and the waters warm.
The hotel its self is close to the city centre with only a 10 minute walk. The hopsital is a 20 minute walk and in the opposite direction you will find aldi & lidl along with st george's shopping centre.
I haven't eaten a n evening meal here but I can recommend the breakfast- poached eggs on request.

Second visit in two weeks. Price very competitive and s short stroll from the station.
But it is located on s traffic island so getting to it is a bit of a challenge. Lots of lanes of traffic so watch for the green man.
The entrance is also not easy to find a small unremarkable door leading into the building but not to reception. For that it's upstairs and you check it at the bar.
Rooms well equipped and very modern. Bathroom is a curious semi circular pod with decent shower and relativly well set out.
Decor v modern and bed comfy.
Breakfast ok but hot food limited and not of best quality. Bacon salty and ssussges did not taste meaty.
But overall fine but not as good as nearby Premier Inn.

Check in quick and easy. Friendly staff. Bar area really nice. Used onsite parking which was free but limited. Room really neat and modern. Very clean. No complaints at all! Will be back when I next have to stay in Leicester.

Staff was friendly, hotel conveniently located. Only thing keeping review from 4 stars is the fact that the room came with a nice big drool stain on one of the pillows first night. Not what you want to find after a long flight and a 2 hour train ride, checking in late at night.

My husband and I have just returned from having three night stay at the ibis we had a very pleasant stay the room was very comfortable and clean staff very helpful Breakfast was very good you just helped yourself we had very good night's sleep which was very good seeing the train station was just over the room if in Leicester again would go back to this hotel
