We were very pleased with this hotel especially the great service that was provided. The room is cosy and clean. As one of the light in the washroom was not working when we checked in on the first day, the hotel staff immediately arranged another room for us. The breakfast was great too! The location is perfect as it is 5 mins walk away from the train station.
Our second stay – and not the last one!

This is our second stay at this hotel that provide good value given the hotel’s central location and the fact that it provides clean and decent rooms. Our room (no 1022) were clean, very comfortable & spacious with a great view (see my attached photos).
The hotel is really funky and modern and have a nice bar a restaurant. Also, great price for a London hotel with these facilities!
Breakfast is the best breakfast I've ever had in an Ibis hotel.
The underground station, Southwark is only 2 minuts walking.
The Wi-Fi was easy to connect and had high capacity!
I would highly recommend this for a great stay at a good price!

This hotel is conventiently located near a tube station. Rooms is typical IBIS: comfortable beds, basic bathroom and amenities. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was good. The bar was a very lively one, which was nice if you need to get a bit of work done but don't want to stay in the confinements of the room.
Good

This hotel has a great location - close to Southwark tube station. Rooms are clean, nice comfy bed. Bathroom is small. Reception staff are friendly and helpful, cannot say the same from staff at the restaurant.
Accor brand let down here

Check in is 2pm. We arrived at 3.45pm on 9th Nov to be told no room was available.
We were offered the choice of a double room (having booked a twin) OR a ten minute week, a free drink and a twin.
We checked it would only be a ten minute wait - receptionist called housekeeping & we were told yes, it would be 10 mins max. So we opted for the free drink and a short wait.
I headed for the bar but the receptionist said he would get our drinks for us. But then he completely forgot. He got sidetracked helping a cabbie with his fair who was lost, which was very nice of him....but it didn't help us much. With the ten mins 'max' we were supposed to be waiting nearly we didn't have our room OR our drink. With no staff in sight, I went to the bar and got my own drinks (free after a slightly awkward conversation with the barman).
Shortly after 4pm (15mins after our arrival and by then 2 hours after we should have been able to check in) we did manage to grab the receptionist again, to check on the room. We made it clear we were not happy, that we were going out to meet friends at 5pm and wanted to get in our room straightaway to freshen up etc.
What followed was another 25 mins of chaos with the receptionist and housekeeping arguing on the 'phone. This culminated in the receptionist standing in reception shouting loudly (and somewhat theatrically, probably for our benefit) down his phone, presumably to the cleaner, that 'if you do not get the room ready now, immediately, I will speak to your manager'.
Shortly after that, close to 4.30pm, we finally got the key to our room.
At one point we were bizarrely told that housekeeping were 'prioritising the doubles. Why?! I hadn't realised that booking a double got you further up the food chain.
In the room, we found we only had one towel. So I had to go searching for another and found a very harassed looking cleaner who gave me one.
The next day after we had been out all day and came back at 4pm we found our room had not been cleaned, so no new towels or tea things etc. Housekeeping eventually turned up at about 4,30 - inconveniently just as one of us was getting out of the shower.
This was a dismal stay. It felt like a bargain basement, cut all corners, type of place and that's certainly the experience we had. Service and value for money were very poor. We are Accor members but I very much doubt that we will ever return to this hotel. We are also looking at alternatives for other upcoming Accor bookings that we have elsewhere.
