Appalling behaviour by hotel management be aware if booking this hotel at a busy time I was booked into this hotel as part of a group for the London vet show at the excel centre nearby we had a booking for two nights including breakfast Our flight was delayed and when we arrived exhausted at midnight we were casually told without a scintilla of an apology that they had no room for us as their system that evening went down and several other people were in the same boat I asked to speak to the manager and was told that he said he was not to be contacted and was told that the only option was to go to their sister hotel a mere 20 minutes away by taxi I felt this was the most deceitful part of the experience as the taxi driver when he arrived told me that it was over an hours drive away with no traffic and trying to return there next morning would take a lot longer and that he had being ferrying people from the hotel with the same complaint all evening I went back into the hotel and where a member of our group gave me and my wife his room and he shared with someone else . I know that in this location they have captive audience but I think the cavalier attitude to guests and if I am to believe that it was a technology breakdown rather than overbooking to this extent the manager should at least have made himself available to address the situation his unavailability beggars belief .

We stayed here for a change, on our recent trip to London, as we were driving and it is close to the motorway and also has plenty of parking.
For the price it’s “ok” and the rooms are what you expect for the money. I wouldn’t want to spend any amount of time in them though..it’s only bearable as somewhere to sleep (although not easy if you are a light sleeper as you can hear guests coming and going down the corridors through the night as well as guests in adjacent rooms flushing loos and snoring!) This is not somewhere to relax!!
What really let the place down to us, and why we’d never recommend it to friends, is the staff.
On arrival we were booked in by a very casual mannered guy using a smart phone in the middle of the foyer. There are no desks and no sense of privacy. In theory I can see why they think it works but in practice it means that you have no where to get out your wallet etc with ease and without being in full view of everyone else. You feel watched and in the way. If it was a quick process it wouldn’t be so bad, but because we wanted to pay by cash it was a nightmare. He needed ID and had to take my licence away to be photocopied. He thencouldnt work it so has to find help. Eventually a handyman returned with my licence etc and just rested it in a cabinet whilst the staff then routed in and out of cupboards for key entry cards, then somewhere else to stamp the parking ticket etc etc...whilst they were going backwards and forwards across the foyer we were left standing like lemons. And my personal details were left for all to see. Not very professional!
Our next encounter with staff wasn’t until check out two days later.
We had a long journey and wanted to be left by 10. We made our way to the lift with the two suitcases, and various bags and shopping. I have a medical condition which hadgot worse over the weekend, meaning it was painful to walk and I couldn’t put weight on my leg.
The lift was taking sometime and there are no seats to rest on. The lift eventually stopped but was full to capacity. We waited another 5 minutes. It stopped again..again full of people. We waited another ten minutes and could hear it going up and down past us but didn’t stop. We were now late and agitated. We had no choice but to use the stairs. This was not only extremely painful for me, but outright dangerous as I could have fallen. My partner had to take some cases, leave them unattended at the bottom and then come back for the others whilst I struggled alone. No one asked what the matter was or assisted when they saw him
When I finally got downstairs I shouted over to the girl in charge. She was more interested in helping the large group of young men and hadn’t noticed us. I was crying and could barely stand. I explained what happened but all she could say was that we should have called her....with what I have no idea! Oh and she insisted on getting me a glass of water! No apologies and she made me feel like a spectacle and a nuisance.
I have tried complaining to the company but unsurprisingly they haven’t replied.
Personally I prefer to spend money with companies who genuinely care about guests and the services they offer. Therefore I will never use an Ibis again

I went to an event at O2 recently and stayed at this hotel.
The staff always had smiles on their faces and were very helpful.
Room is very clean. Complimentary tea and coffee while you relax in your room !
Breakfast had good variety.
Location has easy access from two stations.

Really enjoyed this hotel but Georg was amazing. He took such good care of us. Always had a smile on his face and kind words.
The hotel was very nice and the rooms were great. Love the massage machines by the elevators.

Chose this hotel for a great deal we got on 2 rooms on a Saturday night. Lovely location next to the river and has restaurants nearby. The bonus is the cable car is 2 minutes walk away and takes you to the 02 for less than a train! London all lit up over the river was amazing!!! Taxi back was £25 if like us couldn't face the tube after the concert. Hotel very modern, clean and staff were friendly and helpful.
