We enjoyed our recent stay at the Ibis Shepherds Bush. Having stayed there a few years ago we knew what to expect and it is still a decent value option in a good location. Service was fine and Elli on reception, who checked us in and out, was friendly and welcoming. Our room seemed a bit smokey/musty on arrival but letting some fresh air helped and it was fine otherwise. The bed was very comfortable although our sleep was interrupted one night by some rather loud inconsiderate neighbours in the next room, and their TV, well into the early hours. Overall though we enjoyed our stay and would happily stay again.

Hotel is in a good location for public transport and rooms are good value for money. Bathrooms are a little basic (cabin style) but beds are very comfy and the cleanliness of the room was excellent. Hotel offers all the basics and in my experience the staff were extremely friendly; check in easy and quick.
The first night I was there (7th Nov) I chose the dinner option for 24 pounds (all inclusive). The menu was simple and offers adequate choice for a quick meal but could do with some more healthy options and a slightly wider selection. The restaurant manager was very kind (I believe his name is Pier - the manager on 7 nov). He asked the chef to make me a healthy option starter of tomatoes followed by chicken with salad. He also recommended a great red wine. Pier went out of his way to make the dinner enjoyable and was kind enough to ask the chef to adapt my choice. Well done! Breakfast for me was the continental option (5 pounds) - great value for money as it was buffet style. Did not want the cooked one so cannot comment on this.
Overall a good and comfortable stay.

I am an Accor member and have stayed at numerous Ibis' across Europe. I find them reliable and good quality. This is the worst I have ever come across. It's an embarrassment for the chain.
Starting with the positives, the room is as you would expect, clean and tidy and the bed comfortable. The bathroom although one of the wetroom single piece things which feel very cheap, was adequate. The location is a few minutes to Shepherd's Bush tube. But there the positives end.
The staff seemed disinterested, the barman especially so. At one point in the evening, a staff member who appeared to be covering reception was actually sat at the bar. The bar itself is dreadful, it is so dark with deep grey paint, and the lighting so weak you may as well in the basement. For breakfast, there were relatively few actual tables (there is a lot of space taken by silly impractical modern chairs). The breakfast itself was awful, over-priced and some cooked items at best could be described as lukewarm. Cold hash browns are not nice. This seemed as result of trying to please too many tastes. It's all well and good having loads of different pastries and exotic options if you are a big hotel, but for a small chain hotel, there simply isn't the footfall to keep the quality up.
I like Ibis', and this won't put me off, but this hotel I will avoid, it's style over substance and with poor service, and absurd bar/food area. I won't be returning

Stayed here when visiting Royal Albert Hall for a concert due to Tube connection, just a 5 minute walk from station. Check In very quick but I had checked in online in advance. Rooms are basic but clean and reasonable size for London. Didn't have breakfast or eat in the hotel as just a flying visit but would have no issues staying here again, not bad location, staff were v good and comfortable room with no noise

I decided to book this hotel because of the good reviews, but i was really disappointed. The check in time was at 2, but we had to wait 45 minutes because the rooms wasn´t ready. Not that bad, but annoying when it says check in at 2.
When we finally got our room we were lucky we got a big room! Everything seemed fine until we tried the beds. They were so (!!) hard. We have stayed in a lot of hotels but never felt a bed this hard. The next morning we woke up with really sore backs. We stayed three nights at this hotel, so every morning it would get worse. Now sitting down writing this my back is so sore that it hurts sitting, laying down and walking. We were so disappointed because the reviews said that the beds were good, but thats not true at all. So take that in to consideration when booking.
It seemed that the toilet did´t t bear any weight and would fall off the wall at anytime. We had to squat when going to the toilet. It wasn´t only in our room, in our friends room the toilet was also pretty fragile. So we had some worked up some good leg strength by the end of our stay.
One of the reasons we decided to book this hotel besides the good reviews was that the rooms had air condition. We like it cold when we sleep so we have it at the lowest/coldest settings. This worked the first night, but not the other 2 nights. When we asked why, they answered that it was because that it was now winter time so the low/cold option was turned off. The window had a "stopper" so it didn´t open.
The good thing is that the hotel location is very good. Very near the tube station and the shopping center Westfield, were there are a lot of shops and places to eat. The area around was a bit dodgy, we seriously witness a man breaking into a car. The lobby had a modern vibe and was decorated for halloween.
