The Ibis is a conveniently situated Hotel close to Southern Cross station and free trams. It is in a small side strett. Te room was not big bus adequate for my 3 night stay, it had everything you would expect, toiletries, tea and coffee,hairdryer and TV with a lot of stations and free wifi \The bed was extremely comfortable and the water was piping hot and the shower pressure was excellent.

The issue that I had with this hotel is just that it's old really, the whole place had a kind of sour smell that was partially masked by fragrance. Whilst everything looked clean, due to the smell and age of the furnishings I was still worried about walking around in the room without shoes. The room felt less like a hotel room and more like a dorm. There was very little sound isolation so you could hear people talking all the time, you could hear people watching TV in their rooms and the place shook when people closed their doors. The bathroom was the most modern looking aspect of the room, but even then - I was going from being burned by the shower to cold without adjusting the temperature, it just fluctuated that much. The way WIFI was provided was very strange for an Accor hotel, being that I was given a password that had specific limitations which when exceeded meant that I had to request another. Another thing that occurred was that the heating did not work initially and staff had to provide me with a portable heater. The thermostat was set to 19 degrees, and I went to sleep to wake up freezing with the thermostat reading 15.5.

Looking for a quick weekend trip to Melbourne with the guys. Ibis offered 3 beds in a private room for under $30pp. The rooms were not tight despite the hostel price. Shower was a little tedious as it was not private to the room, at least the bathroom was. Very clean and comfortable and in a very Good location for melbourne.

A good location hotel near to Southern Cross rail station.
Staff are very helpful.
Wi-fi service is free at lobby area as room wi-fi is chargeable @A$10/day.
Room is a little too small even for Asians :p
Other than that, we are happy with our stay.

Great location close to everything. Room was clean and well appointed with a very comfortable bed.
Easy commute to and from the airport. I would definitely stay at the Ibis Melbourne Little Bourke Street again.
