Thoughtfully refurbished
PRBlokeon 28/08/2017 11:16We usually use Ibis hotels as a waypoint on road trips - I book ones with car parking on the premises, which can sometimes limit the choice with city centre locations. This one is in a decent enough place, opposite the main railway station and is a 10 - 15 minute walk into the centre of town.
The reception in great, with sweets for guests. Check in was easy and friendly.
Unfortunately the room, whilst creatively refurbished was over warm to come into and had a strong smell of insect repellent. Thinking that there might be a mosquito problem in the area, I didn't want to open the window to let a swarm in, so I put up with it.
The shower riser rail was broken and the only way to shower was to hold the flexible hose over you.
If we'd been staying for another night, I'd have asked for a repair or for a different room.
Check out was also friendly and when I reported the shower problem, the receptionist said that we should have reported it and they'd have changed the room.
It won't put me off staying again.
Reasonable hotel for a short stay.
John Hon 22/08/2017 16:47This was a reasonably comfortable hotel for the short time we were there. It is close to the railway station and busy road so it can be a little noisy, though we didn't hear much in our room.
The car park was difficult to get into and even though I am disabled they only had one very tight space to spare.
Great for overnight in a renovated hotel

The hotel is just opposite the train station, and a 10-minute walk from the city centre.
The hotel was recently renovated and the room is nicely decorated, if small. The bed is comfortable.
The bathroom is larger than usual in an Ibis, only one towel per person.
Service was decent, from welcoming to strictly professional.
Parking is easy enough to find on the street for the night.
Recommended for an overnight stay.
Decent hotel for a decent price
Dries Von 21/07/2017 21:08This hotel offers parking for 6€, this comes in handy in this city. Though the parking is not guaranteed, because parking places are limited. So when riding out you might not have a spot when you come back. The room has all basics and is clean. The staff is friendly and helpful in guiding you to the city. I would recommend this place for your short visit to the city of Orleans. Breakfast is good (pain au chocolat, croissants, different kinds of bread, cheese, ham, pancakes, ...).
Not bad, but for businessmen

If you are fine with basic service, it is a good choice, but I would not recommend it for a vacation - especially if you are not French. It seems like a place that is not really expecting (or wants) foreign clients.
