Bar is a joke stupidly overpriced ...
breakfast was just ok but nowhere near 4 star hotel. and there is a big issue with parking a car. not enough spaces I had to park my rental car on street nearby.
Staff was ok but bear in mind they have to deal with plenty unhappy customers and to be honest they can do anything about.
Bathroom need some good scrub .. look on picture..
Try to avoid at all times
DIN0DINon 09/06/2017 20:24I have booked Idea Milano Maplensa hotel through their official webiste for 2 nights in May 2017. I made my booking in early April, got the confirmation (I do have it if someone wishes to have a look at it). Closer to arrival date I corresponded with the hotel via their official e-mail and discussed an airport transfer schedule. Need to mention now that i've included my booking reference in correspondence (all those emails I do have as well). So, Ta-dah, we arrive to the hotel around 1:30am at night and Mr Jhafan Asghar on reception says to us and another couple that due to some electricity troubles they have to re-locate us to other hotel. Although, he also says that my booking was cancelled, because they did not succeed to charge my credit card and now I will have to pay a higher rate. Basically, that's the end of the story - I was so angry that this hotel never tired to contact me and inform that my card for some reason did not work. A behavior is just unaceptable. Beware of this property.
Good for airport stay
Ros Kon 02/06/2017 12:46We stayed here en route back to Gatwick - our flight was too late to connect. Our flight arrived late evening but the free hotel bus runs until 1.40am. It departs from the departures floor, Exit Door 16 which is on the second floor near check in desk 11 - a bit of a walk with your bags and took us a while to find. It actually picks up from the central reservation rather than immediately outside the Exit Door. I was a bit anxious (especially when I realised that the other people I thought were waiting had just come out for a smoke!) but it turned up in a few minutes.
Check in was fine but, as I feared, because they wouldn't let me book the bus back to the airport in advance it was fully reserved by the time we arrived. They booked us a taxi instead but when it failed to arrive the next morning we hopped on the bus anyway as there were still spaces as it was about to depart. I'd recommend leaving plenty of time to get to the airport to avoid stress
The rooms were also fine, a fair size, clean and totally characterless. We were given rooms nearby each other. Breakfast was excellent.
I wouldn't stay at this hotel if I wasn't going to the airport but it was absolutely fine for our purposes and good value.
Close to the airport far from good service
sharonaR2013on 02/06/2017 07:56We arrived to the airport very late at night. The shuttle driver said it's his last trip leaving us at the airport with 3 small children. At the hotel they refused to be respinsible although they publish availability of shuttle throught the day. The staff at teception were not helpful at all.
The best thing was the large breakfast.

The hotel have a pick up from the airoport but doesn't work between 13h and 18h, so we needed a taxi for that period, and paid 20 euros (because the hotel is in a radius lower than 5km). If you go on Uber it's more or less the same price, so be aware of that.
Breakfast excelent.
