Westwood hotel is a shadow of itself. I recall the days it used to be a Protea Brand with couteaous and professional staff. Now it is a disaster. The Dinning and bar area has a pungent smell, I really wonder why they cant figure it out and deal it. The food now is a disaster; the goat meat peppersoup I had there was simply a washout. The most disgusting thing is the new GM; one fake low self esteem and oppressive London wanna be. Had a bad encounter there and was a disaster. I used to be a good customer since 2008, used to be my favorite place, but with new management led by this oppressive General Manager, I will never recommend the place for my CAT. Disaster. I wonder how there kitchen will be.

Good customer service. I got an upgrade from the room i paid for because there was a child with me.
However, the food is awful. The variety at breakfast was not impressive.
Room service always took forever to arrive. And once, there was no water for about 5 hours.

I arrived Lagos for a 4-day visit and remembering that Protea is a good business brand, I opted to stay at Westwood since it was closer to the office I was going to work.
Little did I know that Protea has severed their plaque off the business and it was pretty apparent why.
The hotel was dirty, unkempt. Broken down air conditioning units were kept in the corridors. Everywhere smelled dank.
The towels looked anything but white, and I was not sure even artisans would have used that to wipe down their wares.
I could not wait for morning before I checked and ran for my dear life.

If you can pay bit extra and get a room with the lagoon view it will be great. More of a business hotel. With a small swimming pool and very small gym. The restaurant in the ground floor has an open seating area overlooking the lagoon. Very safe and secure place. Overall good experience.
