quaint little hotel with amazing views, italian cuisine tasty, hot and fresh to the table.
The views add to the flavors, ambience is to die for.the friendlyness of the staff and the locals is well known, take a bus ride to town and walk around this real italian town.

Stayed here for 5 nights with part of my family. Really friendly and with good service all the way through from, helping with extending our stay (and get to keep existing rooms at no extra cost) to booking excursions. Large clean rooms with superb view towards Vesuvius and Sorrento. Excellent free parking and free shuttle bus between the hotel and Sorrento. The Breakfast buffet was also really good with ample things to choose from. Highly recommended!

Had a lovely stay at this place. Loved the view from my room. Staff is very helping and kind. City shuttle is really good. Special mention to their morning breakfast buffet. Loved their fresh pastries, orange juice and other variety. Only thing we missed was some veg options. Would love to go back to this place.

We booked this hotel online and the room was exactly as promised. We had a view of Mt. Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples from our balcony. We took all our hotel meals on the balcony of the dining room, also with the same great views. Even the parking lot, which is on the roof of the hotel, offers wonderful views. Our rental car had as nice a view as we did.
We enjoyed the included breakfast buffet with its vast array of pastries. The dining room also had a machine to make fresh orange juice, and it's pretty entertaining to drop in an orange and wash the machine turn it into juice.
We had dinner in the hotel restaurant twice and both meals were excellent. The house wine was very drinkable, we tried both the house red and the house white. The desserts were especially nice.
After arriving at the hotel, we parked our car in the free lot, and used the hotel shuttle to get to and from town during our stay. Il Nido shares the shuttle with a few other hotels, but we were often the last stop on the way to town, and the first stop on the way out of town.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, and spoke very good English. They booked an excursion to Capri for us, and offered to book several other excursions (Amalfi coast, Pompeii, etc.).
The free wifi didn't work very well in our room, but worked great in the dining room.

We were a group of 4 couples travelling through Sicily and the mainland and we chose Sorrento as our base for touring the Amalfi Coast and area.
Il Nido proved to be the best decision for accommodations on our trip. The location was great, breathtaking view of Sorrento, the Bay of Naples and Mt. Vesuvious from our balcony.
Dino and his staff work very hard and they went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. After 9 days we felt very much at home.
The restaurant was also a very nice surprise, reasonable prices, varied menu and just as good as any restaurant we visited elsewhere in Sorrento.
I would suggest when looking at other reviews for this property, you keep in mind, that some people want 5 star quality but do not want to pay for it.
Dollar for dollar, this is a very good hotel.
If you plan on booking here, its worth the slight upgrade to the balcony rooms on the first floor. #104 to #109.
