Il Palazzo was clean and well appointed. It was all I needed for one night stay. Would have been fine for longer too.
Location was great, next to the night markets, a block from the esplanade, grocery shop, chemist etc only a block away and lots of restaurants right nearby.
Staff friendly.

These apartments are comfortable and conveniently close to the Esplanade for eating and a short walk to the shopping mall and next door to the night markets.
We got a deal through Agoda for $138 a night. We called direct and were first told $175 and then we were offered $140 but the special was the obvious choice. Always worth calling direct first.
It really is home away from home and if I’d had time I would have jumped in the pool which looked inviting. We also had a sea view from our balcony.
Nothing to pick on here.

Excellently situated, one block from the Esplanade. Wonderful location for runners/walkers as the Esplanade promenade is a 3 mile path along the sea with excellent running and bike paths. Also a seaside enclosed swimming area and a variety of playgrounds and activity centres for adults and children.
Cannot beat the price, period, full stop. Donovan, Kay, Frances and Caroline are not only helpful and efficient, but thoroughly pleasant people who know everything there is to know about Cairns and are ready/eager to help befuddled visitors .
Full complimentary internet service in room, and free washer and dryer in the room, which was very convenient. A number of great pubs and restaurants in the immediate area, as well as the Orchid Mall and Cairns Centre Mall which includes a cinema. Very pedestrian-friendly area of downtown Cairns.
I was here for six days wading through applications and red tape for a visa to Papua New Guinea, and the only good thing about the wait is that I was able to spend it at Il Palazzo. When assessing the location, value, services and people this place is simply non-pareil.

I stayed in this Hotel for 2 Nights I picked the hotel because I did not have a car at this point of my holiday.
What a great location right in the heart of Cairns easy access to shopping right on top of the night markets and a short walk to Esplanade. The room was clean and comfortable with a balcony and the bonus of a flywire door so you can get fresh air at night without the mossies but we did get noise from the street if door was left open as we were in the front so aircon worked well. Washer and dryer in the bathroom coffee making facilities fridge a little kitchen if you chose to cook. The pool was heated I think as it was very nice. This hotel is not new but has a good price tag. The staff very friendly and helpful.We will stay again next time when in Cairns so thank you to all staff.

Literally in the middle of the city a stone's throw from The Esplanade beach and pool area. Surrounded by shops and restaurants. Remarkably quiet for its location. Friendly and helpful staff. good parking. Free wifi.
