Stay there during a 6 day event. The hotel is at a nice location on the coastal avenue, although a little bit far from Ponta Negra night life, you will need a car to move around. At the moment the hotel is in need to some renovations. Which they are doing at the external area with a lot of construction noise during that week. The hotel has just one main restaurant which for the quality and (low) variety of food is too expensive. The common areas is also in need of renovation, specially the walking path with several worn stones which accumulates water during the quick showers, making it difficult to walk. The rooms are in the average size, but with worn out installations, specially the balcony doors. They also have issues with the hot water during some periods.
Also, they are in urgent need to upgrade and capacity training for all the employees, in particular at the reception desk.

Impressive location, striking interior. Good clean rooms but looking 'tired' as were the grounds. Went out of season - meals excellent when the chef was on duty but poor meals when not (tasted like frozen meals heated up and they cost more), They were so tasteless we didn't eat there again.

For the price it’s not a bad hotel—not perfect, but a great location. The hotel has 166 rooms, is right on the beach and has several pools, a tennis court and they serve microbrew beer at the pool (so far so good!). A good many of the rooms have a view of the beach and the ocean (if you ask, the front desk will do their best to accommodate you if your booking did not include this).
The space could be better used. While they have some lovely antiques scattered about and the restaurant where breakfast is served has a wonderful view overlooking the beach, there are several bars and lounge areas that appear to have used to have servers that are just used for seating. The hotel in general needs a bit of TLC (there are some problems of mold, but nothing outrageous) and there is no room service after 10 PM.
We were here for Christmas vacation and the hotel was packed, but there was still adequate parking on site. Some earlier comments noted that the hotel is a bit far from town, but it only cost about R$25 by taxi to get there, so if that’s a deal breaker, then this isn’t the place for you. Otherwise the staff were, generally, very pleasant and mostly all were helpful.

Even thou they do not offer a good place for enjoying the day, the rooms use to be better than others around. Got a little disappointed cuz we got some lipstick marks in our cups and it got me thinking how clean they are. They don't fill up the Mini bar with water and drinks, be prepared.

I've stay in this hotel with my family from Friday until Sunday. With the exception of a few employees in the kitchen area and housekeepers, staff were very rude and unwelcoming.
We've rented 3 rooms, which were quite pricy (about R$600 per night) and one of the rooms had a broken air conditioner (which could only be fixed the following day, whiteout offering any compensation or change of rooms) and an exposed lamp. My 3 years old nephew touched the exposed lamp and burned his hand. When we've asked in the reception if they had Bandaid or something to put over his hand, we got a short and crude "no".
The holds events, and while we stayed there they had two loud weddings which we could hear from our rooms. Every room seems to have a little door that leads to the adjacent room. This allows for very little privacy, since we could hear everything that was happening in the room next door, and vice versa.
On my last day in this hotel, I've asked the staff if they've seen my sunglasses, which I couldn't find. No help whatsoever have been offered and the person behind the counter told me that it would probably never be found because if I left somewhere, people would keep to themselves.
The freezer in each room were completely empty and they have a policy where drinks of any kind are not allowed unless bought from the hotel. To use a hotel towel at the pool costs R$3.00 and if you lose it, they charge you R$50.00.
Not everything was bad, the amenities are actually quite nice. The hotel is huge and the swimming pool is very nice (and open 24 hours). It is located in a very premium area and from the hotel you get access to the beach (in a section where it's far enough from downtown to give you good privacy). There are restaurants and bars nearby.
I wouldn't say that my experience here was negative, but coming from another hotel just a day before, this one left a lot to be desired. Especially considering that the price of the stay was almost double.
