George & Becky are great hosts. This is the trip you want to take for a nice getaway. I'm due for another visit soon. The house, host and the views are amazing. Perfect for those who love the mountain air & views.

We very much we enjoyed our visit at the inn. The inn is lovely, warm and inviting. Becky and George are most gracious and we felt our every need was attended to. Becky's culinary skills are exceptional. Not only was the food delicious, but the presentation and description of the food was superb. We look forward to our next stay at the Inn at Iris Meadows.

We have just returned from another visit to the Inn at Iris Meadows (our fourth or fifth over several years). It was fantastic again! George and Becky are great hosts and prepare a breakfast fit for display in all the fancy magazines. It not only looks great but tastes delicious too. The Inn at Iris Meadows is very welcoming and comfortable. You cannot do better!

    Refreshment for your Soul

My husband and I always plan a few days away in the fall, somewhere near the mountains, to enjoy the crisp air and God's beauty. We were starting to lose faith in B&B's after having two back-to-back negative experiences in the past year of "highly acclaimed" ones. Always remember that $$ and a marketing plan can make a not so great inn appear more than it is. Wait a minute - I am digressing because just the opposite was true with this beautiful inn! Pride of ownership, history of the property and care of the customer are first and foremost in Becky and George's minds. They are genuinely caring people who love others and want their experience to be nothing but the best. Because of them, we will continue to book B&B's instead of hotels.

The expansive front porch with town and mountain vistas set the tone for our visit - warm and welcoming. The Butterfly room was our choice and it is lovely. It is a large room with fireplace and beautifully dressed bed linens. The bath is large with quality towels and nice toiletries. I also appreciate that you do not hear others in the neighboring rooms or any activity from downstairs.

Breakfasts are a treat! I, especially, appreciate details and none were spared. Linens on the table and fresh flowers. We started with coffee and had a selection of juices from which to choose. One morning we were served apple/date muffins, another, pumpkin and on the third day, cranberry scones with cream! You are served fresh fruit and granola and a hot entree. We had a vegetable fritatta, pecan pancakes and quiche on different days and each was very good. You will be fueled for the day and won't need to eat again until dinner!

A first-rate inn will have beverages and snacks available for their guests and this lovely inn has a guest kitchen! During our stay, we were treated to home baked cookies, apple pie and chocolate cake. Beverages and bottled water are available at all times.

We enjoyed dinner at Frog's Leap in downtown Asheville one evening and every morsel was delicious. We also enjoyed Cedric's Tavern while visiting The Biltmore and found their hamburgers to be the best we have ever tasted! The Marketplace in downtown Asheville was a treat as well and provided excellent musical entertainment.

Thank you, Becky and George, from the bottom of our hearts. You helped renew our souls and belief in the B&B industry. Other innkeepers need to follow your lead!

    Never disappoints!

My husband and I have made the Inn at Iris Meadows one of our stops when traveling to Mt. Pisgah to camp. This charming B and B located in Waynesville, NC is operated by two lovely Innskeeper Becky and George. They have created an experience for their guests that is most satisfying. The beautiful gardens, wrap around porches, and exquisite care of the Inn ...plus their delicious breakfast ( as well as the baked cookies and chocolates) make it a stop you will not want to miss!
