Was here from 15th until 18th. Was given Room 603 with awesome view of nearby hills
Clean massive rooms with basic amenities. Vijendra in reception was very humble and provided good service. Enjoyed every bit of our stay in this grandeur property
Travel Into The Past

Jagat Palace is an old world gem. The Mughal symmetry of the architecture, the carefully curated antique furniture, and the lush gardens lovingly groomed by women in brilliant sarees combine to make an indelible experience. Every inch of this place is filled with artistry; every glance finds another exquisite detail. Jaget Palace is an oasis of peace and beauty, brought forward in time from a rich tradition of warm hospitality. The great front doors are always open, guarded by an old man with a spear and an ever-present staff who note your every move. We much preferred this style of security to the tedious metal detectors and pat-downs at the "luxury" hotels we stayed in elsewhere. This was a wonderful break for us. But if your soul craves cookie-cutter accomodations with high-speed wifi and multiple power outlets, you should definitely look elsewhere.

Came here 10 years ago and I don’t think anything has changed since then .... the electrics are antiquated, the air con so old it should be in a museum and the fan the noisiest I have ever heard. The food is very bland and repetitive. The staff are not overly helpful (with some exceptions). The WiFi is laughable. The room itself is Ok but needs updating... and the bathroom is in need of pulling out & starting again. The bed itself is good ...
Not a trip to repeat ....
Not terrible but not the best

After reading all the TA reviews I had fairly low expectations but it's really not that bad! It's not amazing but considering we were only staying 1 night it was fine.
The hotel itself is stunning, the grounds are beautifully maintained and the building is grand. The rooms aren't as luxuriously appointed as you would expect from the outside but it wasn't terrible, more quirky than anything. The rooms and bathroom are massive, decorated with dark wooden fittings along with 4-poster bed. Oddly enough there's heaps of furniture in the room and literally no furnishings in the bathroom. The bathroom is massive but doesn't even have a vanity unit to put your toiletries bag. There's no real amenities, with the exception of hand soap, so bring your own...
That said the bed was relative comfortable but the a/c was so loud it was sleeping on a plane. Unfortunately the room got quite warm quickly so we had to keep the a/c running and wear earplugs to sleep.
We ate dinner at the restaurant, from the a la carte menu and the food was pretty good and ok priced. We had malai kofta and mushroom mutter. Breakfast was pretty boring but we did have made to order choc banana pancakes which was pretty good though.
The pool looked nice but not sure about water quality. Not visibly dirty from the surface but they didn't have the pool pumps going so none of the dust was filtered from the water and it was very murky, couldn't even see the steps on the pool ladder. However I am skeptical of water quality in the pools here in general.
Similar to other reviews, we only saw 2 other groups which makes it feel quite empty.
The service was generally decent, front desk was cold but rest was ok. Wifi was free but was terrible, didn't work in the pool area and didn't work often, even when we connected it was super slow.
Oh dear...

We were told this hotel is the best in Pushkar and let me tell you, it's definitely not!!! As soon as we arrived the guy at check in wasn't very friendly and told us that they do not offer free water and you have to pay for it. We found that very strange as all of our hotels in Sri Lanka and India have provided complimentary water. On our way to the room it all looked promising as the grounds were quite decent. Got to our room and I felt like we have walked into a hostel. The air con was dodgy and super loud and no basic amenities were provided (shampoo, conditioner etc). We were starving and ordered some room service, toasted sandwiches and French fries. The food was disgusting, soggy and bland. It was not fresh at all! We complained to the manager who tried to upgrade our room but we refused as we wanted to leave and go to another hotel. The hotel did not provide any refund for the room.
We looked on TripAdvisor and found the Westin Resort & Spa. It's about 10 km's out of Pushkar but it was amazing and we are so glad we went! It was a little expensive but we didn't care... we wanted out of Jagat Palace lol.
Hope this helps :)
