To start with I made a booking using makemytrip as it was giving the best price. The palace and its surrounding are beautiful but trust me this is not even close to a luxury or 4 star property. the potty seat was broken, the beds were shakey, tea maker was broken and the AC didn't work well. The food is overpriced but not bad. But you are getting a deal and want to give it a try go ahead. Since i was travelling for business it didn't matter much.

We were a group of friends meeting after a few decades; college mates meeting up. My friend who arranged the meet picked this place for its lush green ambience in the middle of the city, which provided great photo ops. We also looked in at a few of the unoccupied hotel rooms to get a feel of the place. Set in the midst of a lovely garden and a lawn, this was originally built as a city palace for a royal family. Now operating as a hotel, there is a great restaurant opening onto the lawns, which was given over to our party. The rooms retain their royal elegance and the rates seem reasonable and on par with four-star properties. Would definitely recommend to friends as it is also conveniently situated in the heart of the city. Loved the small castle towers that border the building!

The Jayamahal Palace is hotel in a sprawling 19 acre property, bang in the heart of the city and right next to the Bangalore Cantonment Station. It is a 100+ year old palace converted into a heritage hotel with a restaurant. Among the positives are the location, abundant greenery and parking space, good restaurant and the price is quite affordable, apart from of course the experience of living in a former palace. On the flip side, the property is crying for proper maintenance both inside and outside the room. I stayed in a Standard room for the day and had issues with the bathroom - it wasn't cleaned properly, the flush made a loud weird noise and there was no option to fill the bath tub with water. There are too many support staff hanging around and noisy. There's a huge beautiful lawn but I saw stray dogs fighting over a rat on the lawn. The owners would do well to change the organization that's managing this property.

We stayed @ this Property for 3 days and found its a very good hotel to stay with my family..My only concern is about the bathroom which is very small and Television which had no flat screen.
The Property is very big. The building and the surroundings are really beautiful.

My son and me had stayed for almost 2 days and every minute of our stay was memorable .
The Staff, The room and The ambience was lovely and warm.
If you want to stay right in the busy city center and yet have your own serene space with nature abundant then you must experience Jayamahal Palace .
