I stayed one night at this hotel from 1-2 May 2016 and had a terrible experience based on the following:
1. Staff was not helpful at all. I have been in Chengdu for a couple of days and realised that it was cheaper to travel via Uber/DD instead of taxis (save up to 60-70%). However, a local registered number is required to make bookings which I did not have. I requested to have the front desk help me book a Uber/DD and pay them cash up front (since after making a booking, an estimate of the cab ride would be given and I intended to round up the sum to prevent shortchanging the staff) but they refused, saying it was not their duty to arrange transport for guests and was curt in their replies, brushing me off by telling me to flag cabs along the roadside by myself.
2. Was given a corner Single A room located by the side street. The streets were NOT quiet at night with loud chatter by people walking by + engines of motorcars and motorcycles revving, waking me up multiple times throughout the night
3. I was a solo female traveler and the hotel is located on a side street which requires walking along a dimly lit aisle at night (from the subway station). I was dressed in casual conservative clothing but still had guys checking me out from top to toe and blowing wolf whistles which made me feel extremely unsafe and uncomfortable.
4. There were mosquitoes in the room. I did not realise it until I woke up with multiple bites and was disgusted with the lack of pest control of the hotel.
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. There are many similarly priced hotels within the vicinity which I'm sure would have much better service and comfort than this.

wifi was broke and didn't work as well as I was well il and they didn't know where the hospital was no that's well bad enint like I was well iiland I wasn't helped at all very disappointed with staff as well as the cleansliness of the palce

To summarise:
Accommodations:
Basic and clean and comfortable
Housekeeping friendly and nice
Soundproofing not very good. A lot of reverb noises from people (esp kids) in the corridors. Quite some bed bumping noises through the night from some *intimate activity* in the room next door.
Service:
Morning manager and team pleasant and helpful to deal with.
Night shift girls, especially the one with short hair was rather rude.

文殊坊もすぐ近くで、食事をする場所にもお茶を飲む場所にも困りません。夜に到着したので、タクシーを利用しましたが、意外にタクシー運転手さんもすぐにホテルを見つけてくれました。ホテル前までタクシーの乗り入れができなかったり、一方通行の道路上なので、近くで下ろされますが、すぐにホテルの場所はわかります。フロントで各観光地の場所をわかりやすく書いた紙を渡してもらえます。英語のできるスタッフは日中はいないことが多いですが、翻訳ソフトを使って対応してくれ、とてもフレンドリーでした。部屋も毎日とてもきれいにしてくれます。リーズナブルですし、次回成都に行くときにも宿泊します！
There is very convenient place in Wenshufang. It has a lot of restaurant and local market and local cafe for drinking Chinese tea. It has very clean rooms and we have comfortable stay every day. Speaking English staff is a few. But they use their mobile for translation and friendly attitude. This hotel is very reasonable price and very convenient. Hotel's facility is very good. I'd like to stay at Jinjiang Inn ChengDu Wenshufang whenever we go to ChengDu.

Nice basic hotel, which ticks the boxes in its class. Friendly helpful staff with some English spoken. Good location near Wenshuyan Monastery and the subway system, which was easy to navigate with ticket machines and signs in English, and reasonably priced. Real bonus considering the Chengdu traffic.
