I should really first appreciate the staff and their hospitality...some of the names are Shiva, Raghu, Hussain etc.. All of them are very nice..
Secondly rooms are really neat and we'll maintained.
Location is really thrilling, out of the world.. If you are nature lover then this is the place to go... Trekking, boating, campfire, everything is great..

This was our second trip to the Jungle Lodges property at Bidar.
The quality of service remains excellent.
The directions are now clearer with sign board put up and the property, as it matures, has become greener and has more flora and fauna. It’s an ideal getaway from Hyderabad.
Time from Hyderabad by car: 2.5 to 3 hours
Meals: Excellent vegetarian and non vegetarian buffets.
Sleep: Since it's a jungle be prepared for sounds, and small creatures :)
Activity: Black buck sighting, coracle ride, bonfire, jungle hammock and trekking.

Stayed during the Oct 2nd 2017 long weekend for 2 nights. This resort should have been named Nightjar Resort instead of blackbuck resort. The reason to this is there are so many Indian Nightjars that you can hear from dusk until dawn. After dinner was lucky to get a drive to Khanapur route in a jeep and could spot around 10 to 15 of them on the path leading to the resort. There are no black bucks around the resort but we have to travel around 10+ kilometers to spot these beautiful animals.
For birders: Spotted around 58 different species of birds including Indian coursers, yellow wattled lapwing, black redstart and common starling. The last 2 I assumed being rare occurrences for this area at this season.

1. The staff including the cook, manager, driver and the staff were very hospitable, friendly and helpful. Took reasonable care to help us feel comfortable and relaxed.
2. Special thanks to Hussain for making our day special by showing us the Bidar fort and also for helping us spot birds like nightjars and indian coursers. The visit to the bidar airport area was really good and could spot many black bucks and marsh harriers.
3. Resort food was awesome. Special thanks to Ashok who cooked the awesome meals for us.
4. The lake water activities are good especially the cycling boat.
5. Hiking activity was very nice. Lots to birds to see around the resort and also during the black buck trail near the bidar airport grassland area.
6. The quaint and comfortable rooms are really good with ample facilities. Stayed in the special cottage room 2 where the view of the lake was good. The area in and around the resort in the day is full of bulbuls, swallows, peacocks, laughing doves and collared doves. The night is ruled by the nightjars.

1. bidar railway station: There are no taxis here. The resort is 18 KMs on the Udgir-Bidar road. There is however a bus facility from the old bus stand (around 200 m from train station). Catch a bus to Bhalki and ask a drop near the khanapur stop (26 INR). From the Khanapur stop the resort is 3 KMs from the main road and is a muddy road. Please talk to the resort so that their vehicle can pick you up.
Alternatively an auto can take you from Train station to the Khanapur stop or to resort for 250 INR

Rude staff, stringent policy, horrible experience. Staff is not even willing to postpone the visit by one week even with one week prior notice. Since it was our friends recommendation, we might actually visit the place but we are already unhappy with out decision. For the amount, one can plan for a tiger reserve like Tadoba. I don't recommend it to anyone.

Location- Awesome.
Ambience- Awesome.
Property-Awesome- Stayed in executive room.
Food- Not great but hot and fresh
Staff is too much courteous.
Best place for a couples and Families...Peaceful,Romantic,Beautiful.
No coverage area in rooms- Airtel works.
Finally one of the BEST WEEKEND Destination
