We stayed in the hotel for two nights in December, 2015. The great thing about the hotel is its location. Its right on the way to the tiger safari, yet not very far from the railway station or restaurants like Kanha or Ram Shyam where we used to have our food. The facade of the hotel looked very plain, and a chair and table was all that could be called as the reception. We had booked two rooms and thankfully we got two adjacent rooms which were connected through a small balcony. The rooms were spacious and clean. The bathrooms were clean too. Unfortunately the geyser in one of the bathroom did not work, which was a disappointment considering the temperature was in single digit. Also, the hotel did not have any water filter, so we had to buy drinking water from outside. We tried to book the safari through the hotel staff, but they were charging 800/- for one ticket of 510/- and was absolutely not ready to negotiate, so we got our own tickets.

I stayed here for 3 days. The hotel is quite cheap and has all the basic amenities but there is no Wi-Fi connectivity. The staff is very good and friendly. The only drawback I found that was the absence of an in house restaurant. Though they serve breakfast but the menu is always the same :-). Front office serve as a travel desk and can provide you with good information on places to visit and booking a safari.
It would be a good stay if you are visiting only for the Jungle safari and site seeing.

I reviewed the Jungle Lodge in 2013 and was so pleased. The staff are so friendly in this budget accommodation and that time my one sighting was down to Gul, the manager. This time 16 months later the welcome was just as warm, the food good and the stay comfortable. However in Jan 2015 with the Lodge's help in booking the safaris I ended up having 16 sightings in four days. Wow! Now I will just let Gul organise everything in the future. I can only reiterate what everyone else has said below and I what I felt in 2013. If you are on a budget, this is place.

this hotel is not so great but if you are there for a safari then its a nice budgeted hotel. go for a safari early morning or evening then move ahead to another destination. nothing much in this hotel.

Jungle ludge is very close to sawai madhepur station.only 200mtr away from the station. The hotel is very cheap.room service is excellent and the staffs are very helpful. Specially mgr jhandu is a very friendly person...he always tries to help us for safari booking for best chance of tiger spotting ....if you plan for low cost budget trip stay here..
