Very very disappointing ..

We had searched this hotels images in trip advisor as well as google. The photoshopped glossy images were thoroughly misleading.
First of the all,the road to the hotel is a narrow creaky 50m pathway, and we had a tough time taking our tempo in. The first look at the property and all my hopes crashed down. It was not at all maintained, shabby looking cottages, unkempt grass, stray dogs here and there, no professional staff to recieve us. I was really shocked.
We got our keys and went to the end of the property where there were some rooms other than the mud cottages. (Now i think maybe the mud cottages were better?)
The rooms were dark with a single flickery light bulb. The ac has no controls and no switches. Supposedly we have to call someone if we want to turn it off.
The pillows looked dirty and unwashed. There were mosquitoes all around,no proper plugpoints.
I can't even mention the bathrooms- broken pipes and no geyser.Few insects crawling..
We dint have any food from the hotel coz there were three restaurants nearby and all of us just wanted to run off.
After the initial scaredy feeling,we spoke to the staff (few men in tees) about arranging a safari the next day morning. They arranged a gypsy for us at 3500rs.. for 5.30am the next day.
The safari went fine, had a nice time, the driver was a good chap as well. As soon as we got back, we madly packed our bags to rush out of the property.
It might have been a good place, if maintained well, and kept some good responsible and professional staff.
This felt scary and plain unkempt. I dont know whether it was off season or anything. But it was definitely not a good stay.
Only jungle..and no paradise.. we even saw some monkeys and dog/fox like animal running around..not safe to even step out of your room at night.
A quiet jungle retreat

I arranged my trip to Jungle Paradise Retreat via Aha Taxis (online taxi booking service) they found it ok and I was checked in to my mud cottage. It is as quaint as the photographs look and it is right in the National park. This does mean that is not considered safe (wild animals) to go for a walk out and about but the hotel have a vehicle and they will take you into Ramnagar for 500 rupees.
The staff were lovely, they don't speak lots of English so you have to bear with them, they came and checked what I wanted to eat every night and will go out of their way to get what you want. I requested some paneer and they went specially to buy some for me. The dinners were good, I was waited on and treated brilliantly. The food was also plentiful!!
They also arranged an elephant safari for me, which was 3200 rupees for a couple of hours. This was good, I saw deer and hyenas but no tigers. I think the jeep safari would have probably been a better choice, elephants are not fast movers they spend time pulling shrubbery of trees etc. I felt we were somewhat delayed by this.
There is no connectivity here, no wifi so don't bother if you rely on this. If you really need it you can go to the cyber cafe in town, I paid about 20 rupees for 20 minutes.
The room was basic but clean and the bed was comfortable. It was beautifully quiet at night! It is surrounded by nature!! Mango trees and monkeys!! I even had 3 wild boar walk past me while I was eating my dinner.
There is no beer or wine here, I arranged with my taxi to pick me up some en route.
The hot water is by solar shower ... it was cold. I had to wash my hair guide camp style with my travel kettle and a bucket.
Mineral water was provided, food was great, staff were great! I really enjoyed my stay here!!
Great Service

The hotel is beautiful....closer to nature...... and offers great food too!
Affordable pricing and pet-friendliness makes it even better!
The hotel is located in proximity of the Garjia Devi Temple, Ramnagar and The Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve.
The staff is very supportive and attentive.

Had a wonderful stay at Jungle Paradise Retreat Hotel. Service was too good. Awesome Hospitality. The staff will never say no to anything you ask them. Room was clean and the food was delicious. We were earlier planning to have our food outside but once we tried it on the eve we reached, we loved the food and had it every time in hotel itself.
Overall, it was a fun.

The property was nice with homely atmosphere, though if you are planning for a luxurious vacation then it will not suit your taste.
Staffs are really cordial and always helpful. Arrangement of Corbett Safari can also be done through them.
The cottages are nice and cosy. The only problem is they don't consists of water heaters.
If you are planning to have something special in your dinner or lunch, you have to inform a little early. All arrangement will be made by the hosts.
Quality and taste of food is good.
Option for arranging a BON-FIRE is also there.
Enjoy.
