Very good Europian stylish hotel with reasonable price range, exceptional service and attitude. Owners and management team have been provide overriding atmosphere and hospitality. Good place for relax and "re-booting" for people living in Odessa or guests of the city, who like calm atmosphere outside of city movements.
Nice and cosy

Great hotel in a quiet place, great choice for family or couples. If you don't want to go to the beach, you can stay in a hotel and enjoy swimming in a pool. The hotel offers good meals of Ukrainian or European cousine.
Great hotel far from city

I stayed at Kapri hotel September 2012.. The hotel is modern staff very friendly and speak very good English. The restaurant had terrific food with a pool side seating... I had a 2nd floor room with sea view. The hotel is located in a gated community with upscale housing.
I highly recommend Hotel for a weekend getaway by sea with swimming pool. The hotel is quite far from City center and tourist attractions. During rush hours taxi ride could take 1 hour to city center.... The hotel has set pricing for taxis definitely let them arrange your transportation....
A terrific hotel which will make your stay there unforgettable..
Suburban escape from the city center

Kapri offers modern, clean rooms in a variety of settings. Cabbana rooms (total available: 3) opening to the pool are useful (though more costly than regular rooms) if the primary attraction for staying here is use of the pool. However, the rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor, to my taste, were fine â the main difference being that the bathrooms are half the size (and no natural lighting) but they are still adequate and certainly up to standard. In all the rooms, the aircon works well (which can be really important in the summer months) and flat-screen TVs with all programs, however, in Russian or dubbed in Russian. Donât be put off that the hotel is just two stars (in Ukraine age of the hotel or year of renovation is a better gauge of quality than stars): the rooms are new and comfortable and the grounds of the hotel, while small, are well-maintained. All the rooms are good except for the inscrutable room with two twin beds that has glass doors that open out to the street. I refused this room as I ordered a cabbana room through EXPEDIA and, in my lexicon, a cabbana must be located on the ground floor opening out to the pool [or garden (although no garden here) - that is the interior of the hotelâs territory rather than the exterior]. There are 2nd floor rooms with terraces opening out to the pool which are also well-appointed as well as 2nd and 3rd floor rooms with just street views. That room that I turned down might be useful if you want private ingress and egress (kind of like a private apartment) without anyone scrutinizing whom you are with (if use of the pool in not important) although I didnât like the two twin beds that they proposed putting together â thatâs never as comfortable as a double bed â and having glass doors opening out to the street is undesirable from multiple vantage-points: security, privacy, etc.
The one criticism I have of the rooms is that the beds are too firm and I found them somewhat difficult to sleep on for a full-nightâs rest. [Of course, desirable mattress firmness is just a matter of personal preference.]
I would recommend if you book through EXPEDIA to contact the hotel directly and stipulate exactly what you want. EXPEDIA poorly communicated with Kapri and hotel administrator claimed that they were not aware of the type of room I wanted all this notwithstanding that this is an EXPEDIA special rate in which you pay the commission directly to EXPEDIA on top of the stipulated price. Once EXPEDIA gets the commission they no longer care and the hotel claimed that it tried to contact EXPEDIA to elicit exactly what type of room I wanted but EXPEDIA ignored these inquiries. Best to contact the hotel directly and stipulate exactly what you want so that the justification âEXPEDIA did not answer our inquiriesâ is not viable. In the end, after two room changes, we got what we wanted and a gift of a couple of boxes of cookies as a peace offering. To be honest, the room on the third floor offered as an initial substitute met my needs (and would have been cheaper by 90 hrn) per night but my girlfriend really had her heart set on a cabbana room.
One word of warning: the temperature of the water of the pool is not regulated (it should really be heated) as nights even in August are cool and temperature sharply drops in the water. Donât count on it rising above 16-17 degrees Centigrade (in mid August) even in late morning or early afternoon. This did not deter the little kids from diving in and the pool is small; more suited to the use of children. (By the way, the area of the pool is not large and the pool is overly-chlorinated.) Indeed, I would recommend this hotel to families with young children (or to couples wanting a weekend getaway). Teenagers would be bored here.
Location is a mixed bag: it is great if you intend to get away from the hustle and bustle in the city center but if you want to visit the city center, it is far (16km â 70 hrn). The hotel is located in a new suburban development called Sauvignon-2 so there is nothing particularly interesting to do outside the confines of the hotel except billiards, bowling and a restaurant called Zodiak. There are two mini-markets (which might be worth a visit to buy mineral water as 33cl of Morshinska cost 5-6 hrn in the market but at the hotel will set you back 16 hrn.) located on bulvar Odessa,6, and ulica Naberezhnaya, 4a. or alternately stock up if you stay in the city center for a night. There are beaches Bora-Bora, Tallasa and Voshod, the nearest beng 1.3km from the hotel. (Other guests, by the way, stated that the Black Sea water was even colder than the pool water.) The Odessa Airport is 12km from the hotel (80 hrn but that is just the fare when returning to the Airport. From the Airport youâd be lucky to pre-book a transfer from a private taxi company for 120 hrn.).
Inasmuch as the internet services (while included in the room price) are poor and, along with the location far from the city center, I could not recommend Kapri as a business hotel. First. no WiFi in the rooms. WiFi operates in public areas of the hotel e.g. the restaurant but the connection is weak and frequently craps out on you especially if you have data to upload. The rooms are supposedly hooked up to the internet by cable but I found that the service does not work so connecting up by cable is just a waste of time. A bit of a charade is put on by the porter who comes bearing the laptop of the hotel to prove to me that it is my laptop that is at fault and then comes the purported call from the owner of the hotel and the porter excuses himself as there is an urgent matter he must attend to (conveniently no longer having the time to show me that the laptop of the hotel connects to the internet.)
It is obvious that the management doesnât want guests to be in their rooms using the internet but rather in public areas where they can be asked to purchase inflated-priced beverages e.g. hot tea for 25 hrn.
The restaurant is generally good but variety a bit limited; however, serving size for the mains are a bit small e.g. the chalagach (first item on the mains costing 100 hrn) which turns out to be a single small pork chop with fried onions, potatoes and mushrooms [although it was describes as ârebroâ (rib) but when I have ordered the equivalent dish in other restaurants the rib was quite large]. Somewhat better value for money is the bacon-wrapped pork medallions in mushroom sauce. I also liked the thin-crust pizza â I ordered mozzarella and mushroom and found that quite satisfactory. Second day â Oops â kitchen ran out of pizza sauce so no pizza!! However, I liked the chicken and mushroom pasta with white sauce. Some items to avoid: the chicken bouillon soup (not tasty and not bouillon) and Caesar Salad (unless you like garlic dressing). The steak on offer is not the best (beef) cut: better to avoid it (something is wrong when the waiter insists that you take your steak well done. Some of the dishes I wouldnât even try inasmuch as they offer up needless concatenations rather than sticking to basics; I like veal but I neither want it mixed up with foie gras nor, for that matter, with polenta [a kind of corn-based porridge (kasha)].In fairness, fish we didnât try. Glasses have a strange odor (stale like an old damp rag) so I drank from direct from the water bottle or can. I appreciated that the restaurant stays open till 11pm (with the possibility of ordering till 10:45pm) and that there is no period after the breakfast ends at 11am in which the restaurant is closed.
The breakfast is not exceptional. I particularly did not like that there is no choice of juice (just apple juice) and that milk is on offer but not mineral water; tea but not coffee. I would recommend getting to the breakfast before 10am as some items run out and they donât replenish them; e.g. cottage-cheese-filled pancakes (blinchki s tvorogami) and fresh fruits. If youâre a fan of the English breakfast, you wonât be wholly disappointed as fried eggs and sausage (although no bacon) is available. (However, my girlfriend did not find the sausage very tasty.) I am not altogether convinced that for such a small hotel as this that it makes sense to have a breakfast buffet rather than just going a la carte. If I were to stay here for more than two days, I would skip the breakfast, take a coffee espresso, and opt for an early lunch even though that would amount to a more expensive variant. I would also do a little self-catering bringing items in from the outside (mineral water, various juices and wine).
Wait staff (strangely, all waiters/no waitresses) all appear to be very young, a bit self-conscious, easily confounded and klutzy perhaps (dropping utensils not infrequently), but I found that they are generally efficient, have a good attitude and take extra effort, to the best of their abilities, to please guests. Albeit the competences are a bit limited: the barman Max doesnât even know what mulled wine (called glintvin in Ukraine) is (even though it is popular winter drink in Ukraine). Choice of beer is bleak: just Piels and Bitburger. Stick to the Ukrainian bottled water Morshinska rather than forking out double for Vittel. I agree with another guest who commented in Trip Advisor that the constant blaring of music (mostly soft rock or techno) is a bit annoying after a while (certainly lower volume would be desirable) but I donât think the wait staff should be blamed for the music. Music is part and parcel of the restaurant scene in Ukraine.
A nice little hotel that let us bring our pets!

This is a nice little hotel in the Sovynyon district of Odessa, which is about a 20 minute taxi ride from the center. The hotel is close to a beach and has a great pool. The staff were super friendly and even watched our dogs for us when we went to dinner in the center of Odessa. The service at the restaurant was a little slow, but the rooms were nice, with new furnishings and comfy beds, and the pool and yard area were perfect for a weekend getaway. I highly recommend it if you are not in the mood to stay in the bustling center of Odessa and want a little quiet time. Get a "cabana" room if you can, since these have sliding doors that open on to the pool area.
