We booked well in advance but they gave a shabby room on rooftop with asbestos sheets. It was cold and frequent power failures due to fuse tripping . Bathroom taps were leaking/ not working. They over booked for the size of their house. They provided average breakfast

Booked this hotel based on tripadvisor ratings. Stayed here on Dec 22nd night. Unfortunately hotel did not meet my expectations. Cleanliness should be improved. Not much of ventilation. But the room was spacious.

Very basic Budget hotel. Staff were all friendly and willing to help, when asked. The staff were re active rather than proactive e.g. had to ask for water in the rooms. The rooms were OK, again you had to ask for two sheets as only one provided. Whilst internet is provided the upper rooms were to far away from the router to get connection, only could get connection at ground floor. They have a wonderful brochure and the person who put the brochure together should be congratulated on their creativity in writing. This is a very basic budget hotel suitable for an overnight stay only.

The owner of the hotel Sham is a very pleasant and helpful man. Staff are easy to get along and the service is good. This is not a 4star accomodation but the room is a good size and there is a restaurant close by. We were only here for a night. We had egg omelette, toast, bananas and Marsala chai for breakfast which came as part of the package. there is an outdoor area which is quite lovely to have a beer and to chat to the staff.

Just back from India and Kiran Vilas was one of the first places we stayed on our trip. We referred to it as the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. Little bit quirky, staff attentive and as we weren't expecting four or five star we weren't disappointed. All we needed on our trip was somewhere we could relax, that was relatively clean and was safe. We got all that. We enjoyed talking to the staff and were well looked after by them and especially Manohar. This hotel isn't perfect but is comfortable and that suited us.
