We just came back from a 14 days trip from Bad Hofgastein and we (5 adults) stayed in this hotel. Our criteria for selecting the right accommodation was; great view of the Alps from rooms with large balconies, thermal pool (inside and outside), good food... and his hotel had all what we have looked for.
Likes:
- We loved the service, thanks to Bali and Stefan (serving us breakfast and dinner, Gundi and Manuela (receptionists).
- the thermal outdoor pool
- the breakfast and dinner (we didn't get bored at all- great diversification of the menu)
- the large balconies
Dislikes:
- the hotel caters manly for German speaking guests, despite that the hotel is full of other nationalites (twice the host invited the guests for a drink- Mondays, but never once the host bothered to translate the intro in English- a long speech held in German language only). We found this a bit disrespectful since the speech held is long and we were probably the only guests paying for 14 days, hence we should have not been ignored even if we were the only English speaking guests present that 2 Mondays).
- there is a big white board at the reception where info is written daily..in German only.
(the hotel does have some info in English tho, which is posted during breakfast).
- the ice-cream which is constantly present as a desert (every day for 14 days...and often both options of the desert served contains ice-cream, one is always ice-cream)
- non existence of healthy option deserts
We do recommend this hotel especially since there are not many hotels with outside pool in the village, the location of the hotel and the food are good.

My family (2 sons 16 and 21) spent a week in Bad Hofgastein. We stayed at the very nice Klammers hotel, a real family hotel. The rooms were quite OK and there was a very nice pool outside and second pool inside, spa, fitness room etc. But the best of all was the food and the service. EACH dinner we had excellent food with excellent service, they really cared about there guests. That is exactly what you look for(and pay for) but not all hotels and restaurants live up to this - but Klammers did - 110%

For your long awaited vacations you'd want to choose the hotel where you'd feel not only welcome, but also loved and cherished. This is a family owned hotel and you'd feel it in the atmosphere from the reception to the very tiny detail. Apart from the fact that the hotel it self is beautiful and stylish in general as a hotel, it keeps this great sense of being welcomed to the family and to the home of someone. You'd feel it from the heart at your door upon arrival, great room (i choose the room that was a bit upgraded, i think called Comfort, and did not regret a single second. The room was beautiful. Seriously, if not the amazing mountains an spas around I would not want to leave - brand new, the decor, bed quality, those nice homy touch pillows, chez lounge in the balcony, sounds of birds and river that my windows were facing.) The hotel is great to come with kids - they have lots of books, playgrounds, and even children menu in the restaurant. Swimming pool with termal water is fantasic, especially the outdoor one, you can come anytime during the open hours and very well even spend the day here. Super clean, you can even have some nice cup of herbal tea at the end of your swim also complimentary provided by the hotel. Speaking of small touches, you'd even get a water proof bag in your room to carry the towels, robe and whatnot around - because also trust me you'd be going to the spas around. Speaking of food and restaurant- that is a gourmet experience by itself. Breakfasts are delicious and offer such a variety that you can very well try smth new everyday, but of top quality - fresh juices, ham, cheese variety, pastry (mmmm), lots of fruits, any type of coffee. And dinners that an experience of the really well rated restaurant. My respect to the chef who manages to keep up that impressive menu (plus the selection every dinner as well) up and running every day - fish, meat, wellness menu, desserts... Honestly i am thinking that if I would not be swimming and hiking everyday i would get back home with a couple of extra kgs because the food is that good that you simply cannot resist. But most of all the Klammer's Kaernten is about people who work here - super nice and friendly, always are willing to help, always with smiles (and you know that that kind of polite hotel smiles but honest and friendly). Spent my birthday here for the vacations that i-ve been waiting for a couple of years and i think that was one of the very best decisions to choose this place. Highly recommend to anyone! And thank you for the greatest time ever)

2015 was our seventh (i think!) trip to Klammers. Its such a special place to spend Christmas: lovely family atmosphere, great food, fantastic Austrian wines, warm outdoor spa pool and lovely rooms.
We particular like Merrek's piano playing (sorry if we spelled your name wrong) in the bar along with Pavel's excellent service. So relaxing after a lovely day in the mountains.

We have been to this place several times in winter for skiing and relaxing. The atmosphere of the family owned hotel is very cosy. Food is just great!!! I am vegetarian and have rarely eaten so delicious and well balanced, refined food. The menu varies from day to day and offers always a course with meat or fish and a vegetarian alternative (they call it Wellness or Wellfit). The rooms have been refurbished 2-3 years ago, the hot outdoor pool and the Spa are great to relax. You will not miss anything after a day in the mountains. We will definitely come again!
