Never Again Knights Inn

Both Booking.com and Knights Inn epic fail.
Hurricane messed up this town big time. I booked the room a week in advance and wrote a special note advising I would arrive late. When I arrived I was told I didn't have a reservation. After a short conversation the woman asked, "Oh, did you book through Booking.com ?" When I said yes, she told me, "Oh, we cancelled all of the Booking.com reservations because they are having trouble with their payments."
So, I was in the middle of a hurricane ravaged town, at 8:30 at night, without a place to stay. I called 11 (I just counted from my phone records) different places- all booked. So I called Marriott and the closest vacancy was 112 miles away. With no other option, I headed East. However, on my way out of town I found the Executive Inn. I stopped and they had a vacancy! At a real good rate. I stayed there for three days. Decent, clean, firm mattress, and cold AC, I was happy. I'm angry at Booking.com and Knights Inn for not contacting me beforehand so I could make other plans.
I will tell you, I'm the kind of consumer that will never stay at a Knights Inn again. I've normally had good experiences with Booking.com so I'm not committed to never using them again yet. But Knights Inn, no. That may be no big deal to them but that's just my position. There aren't many "never again" companies on my list. Knights Inn is now.

My boyfriend and I are currently staying til Tuesday here at the hotel from out of state, and I wasn't very pleased with the room we got. First walked in the room it smelt horrible, the toilet was nasty, there was used bar soap stuck in the soap holder in the shower, the TV was a box TV that the sound doesn't even work on it. I do however like the bed we were provided but that doesnt make up for all the other problems!

We stayed 4 nights with daily promises to remedy the gauntlet of problems found in our room. The minimum amenities expected in any hotel which include: a hot shower, a good night's sleep, an internet connection and safe, working appliances were non-existent.
After running the shower water a very long time expecting it to eventually get warm, I had to take a quick "splash bath" in cold water. We called to inform the front desk and were promised it would be fixed the next day. This scenario repeated itself until the last morning when finally, I had to wash my hair. The water began to warm and I thought the problems were corrected. I wet my hair and applied shampoo as the water began to turn cold, forcing me to complete the task shivering. Then, not realizing the guard was missing from the end of the hairdryer, my long hair became entangled in the fan and my husband had to cut it free.
Every night we were awakened and kept awake by loud revelers walking past our door or in the adjoining room. Even after reporting the situation, the neighboring guests continued the ruckus late every night!
My husband had to have an internet connection to conduct his business and was given passwords assuring him of a connection, which never worked. He had to move papers, plans and his computer into the hotel lobby.
The hotel staff were apologetic, but lacked the professionalism befitting a representative of the Wyndham hotels.
This Knights Inn will never find us at their round table again.

This is an older, but we'll kept hotel. Rooms are clean, beds very comfortable. It has a gym although I didn't use it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They serve what they call a hot breakfast, waffles, coral, coffee, oj, and something I hadn't seen before were scrambled eggs with smoked sausage. All in all I will stay there again when in the area.

Clerk suggested WIFI and there was none in room..Was advised in AM that it's not fixed "yet". Mattress sags/squeaks and was the worst I've used in ten years of travel.No soap or hand towels ...Clerk advised no hand towels ..Room not cleaned and old Hotel receipt located on chair.No smoke alarm , No pictures on wall...WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY !
