We stayed at Koala Cottage for 5 nights, based on previous Trip Advisor reviews and were really pleased with our choice. The B&B is on a small road in the village of Godshill and well away from the main road, so lovely and quiet. Each room has a parking space in the B&B's car park. We stayed in the Sapphire Room, which was very large and well equipped and a nice touch was the bottle of wine if you book direct. The owner - Shona - was brilliant with advice on places to eat and local attractions and made reservations for us. Her breakfasts were excellent and substantial, with local produce used where possible. We really enjoyed our stay and when we return to the Isle of Wight will stay here again.

A truly magical experience at Koala Cottage. Shona the owner is an amazing host, ensuring that everything is perfect. We stayed in the Gold suite and it certainly did not disappoint, amazing decor, cozy and romantic. Shona cooked the most amazing breakfast both mornings. This accommodation far exceeds its 5* status and we really cannot wait to return

On behalf of my mum and her husband..: Massive thank-you to the lady who looked after us durning our stay last night. Our honeymoon suite was truly beautiful. Everything was immaculately clean, all the details of the room/bathroom itself was out of this world then to top it off the amazing added detail of rose petals and champagne. Also waking up to a lovely home cooked breakfast with the use of a hot tub couldn't have been a better stay or location. Thank you so much

'Shona the Owner' was a great host - she kindly took in a 'signed for' parcel for me and recommended (and even booked) a couple of restaurants, and a great taxi for us. We arrived on the IOW at 7am, expecting to find a cafe open for breakfast, but with no luck, we phoned Shona and asked if we could come early. Her flexibility, letting us come in HOURS before check in, was very welcome, but not as much as the delicious cooked breakfasts! :-)
Koala Cottage is in Godshill, in the middle of the island, conveniently close to the model village and several other attractions, but still very peaceful. The accommodation is spacious and luxurious, with thoughtful touches like milk and water in the fridge, in-room chocolates, biscuits and high quality (Pukka) teas and coffee.
Each room has a parking space at the front of the cottage, and the suite and the breakfast room are all on ground level. The Sapphire suite has a roll top bath and a walk-in shower. Nice and easy if you have mobility problems, and the bed,chairs and sofa are all a decent height if you have dodgy knees!
There's a plentiful breakfast ranging from fresh melon, blueberries, cereals, croissants and toast, to omelettes and the full cooked breakfast.
Shona has created a relaxed, light hearted vibe that really added to our long weekend. We look forward to coming back!

Amazing place, the rooms are not really rooms they are suites, comfy sofa, huge bed, fridge with fresh milk and bottled water, bath and shower, free parking and 1 min walk to Godshill. Freshly cooked breakfast that sets you up for the day
