A wonderful Wayanad break

All I wanted was a brief break with my parents away from it all; what I got in the Kudajadri drizzle homestay was beyond my expectations. A group of 6, we left Mysore in the morning reached the homestay by noon, after a couple of breaks admiring nature. We made several phone calls to Vinoop, each time met with by courteous and patient replies. On reaching the destination, we were greeted with warm beverages and the smiling welcoming faces of the family. We were made to feel like extended family. We sent 2 nights, but wish we had planned for more. The hot and tasty breakfast and dinner with variety of options was a boon to our palates. The comfortable rooms were spacious and clean. The best were the clean and fresh restrooms, a real bonus for me !!
The location and amazingly picturesque sceneries could have made more than hundred picture post cards. A botanist’s treasure, one could walk through banana and other fruit trees, or try identify each of the colourful flowers.
Vinoop, Ganesh and Shyamala were only too eager to guide us with few tourists spots around.
In short, our stay was terrific. What more could I have asked for: delightful company, great hosts wonderful nature and scrumptious food. But What I enjoyed most was the hospitality and warmth of each of the family members. I now eagerly wait to plan my next trip to the Kudajadri drizzle.

We wanted to stay for 2 nights, but we extended our stay cos it truely felt like home. We travelled with our 8 month old, they allowed us to use the kitchen when ever needed. And most of all uncle and aunty are so affectionate, caring and friendly, and spending time with them..Overall a great place to stay with family..Excellent hospitality..

Execellent Home Stay

I was in this property in between 29th Oct to 2nd Nov'17. This business is run by Mr. Rajagopal, his wife, two sons Vinoop and Anoop. I must say it's a treat to meet all these people.
1st three days I was staying at one adjuscent property as Mr Rajagopal and his family were not in town . But they had done all arrangements for me, I was received by Vinoop's cousin brother Mr. Nayanan's family. There was some language problem but Mr Nayanan's elder son, little Nandakishore came in rescue and throughout my stay was the interpreter. This property is just adjuscent to Kudajadri and Food was awesome in this place. Every breakfast and meal were different and very very tasty. Family'was so simple but warm hearted, they will surely win your heart in no time.
Last night was at Kudajadri Drizzle. Vinoop himself had carried my luggage to this place. I preferred to stay back throughout the day in this place. Had lunch with Anoop inside kitchen, Kerala meal. His mother had treated me like a family member and explained all food items. In the evening Mr Rajagopal took me to his big farm house, pepper, rubber, Coco and other cultivation areas. Explained in detail all cultivation. Mr Rajagopal is a gem of a person..
In the evening , on 1st Nov, they took me to their family temple, a big Vishnu Mandir. There was some yearly function where 345 families were present. Mr. Rajagopal had introduced me to many of them as their family guest, including president, secretary of their community. Finally we had community dinner with more than 1000 people. It was a different culture and I had thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it.
Throughout my stay Vinoop was in total control'of my movements, guided me at every step, what to see, my vehicle arrangements, Ayurvedic spa, drop to Kozhikode airport etc etc. I am simply delighted.
You will love morning walk around the village.
Only concern is the Approach road , around 1and half km from main road which is very bad. But work has started and by December road will be all right. I have seen road repair materials before coming back.
If you love nature, love simplicity in life, star hotel facilities are not bare necessities while travelling, there is no other place better than this. You just land up and write better reviews than this, people are awesome

I had been to Wayanad recently along with my family and we decided this time to experience a Homestay.
I selected Kudajadri Drizzle Homestay from the Internet and guess I had done the right thing. It was a home away from home....lovely tharavad house, delicious food and above all excellent hospitality...The owners were so courteous and took care of us so well right from the time I booked till we came back home. They were very friendly and arranged for us everything including sightseeing, pick up/drop from Calicut, etc. The warmth extended by Vinoop and his family (especially his parents) plus the beauty of that place made our stay a pleasant and memorable one. For anyone wishing to visit Wayanad for a nice experience, I would definitely recommend this beautiful homestay....

I visited this place with my 13 friends. And its just amazing ambience with unmatched hospitality. owner is so helpful for everything ,he guided so nicely to reach the place. Texted proper direction so that we are not lost anywhere . Right from the begining till we left the place , these people just gave their best for the guest. M just amazed by the sweetness , owner father holds. He spoke so nicely to all of us , as if he knows us from long time and we are from same family. Such nice people in such a beautiful place. Kudagadri is the best place to stay in wayanad , quiet , full green , clean . If you are going to wayanad u should just visit kudajadri , its a destination in it own.
