What People are saying

Beautiful property in the midst of Nature.

Senthil K on 17/11/2017 16:14

The hotel is situated amongst nature without disturbing its flora and fauna. We get to breathe the fresh air.The rooms are comfortable with a sit-out and hammock. Bathrooms are spacious with a tub.Beds are comfortable. There is a clean swimming pool with a kids pool. A fresh water stream is flowing within the property. The highlight of the property is their food It's well made tasty and very good with a nice view from the restaurant. It's definitely a stay worth it.

Kurumba village resort was a pleasant stay, food was excellent to eat with great hospitality. Only live music missing.

Hi
I would say it was a lively and lovely experience, food was extraordinary taste, must say their hospitality is good enough to make us delight in all the ways. Those who have babies are still recommended as it is not so chill to worry, food will be taken care with caters who can serve you for Your baby needs, the swimming pool is super nice to have fun in groups. I would say monkey's are more but it's always stay away from them, especially with kids kindly be aware of, well apart from overall experience I would say it's a nice experience. They have activities as daily follows, hmm I would say it's better you guys be active enough to make yourself active with activity manager.

Should have been better!

Super location for those wanting seclusion and being close to nature. Road up from Coimbatore or down from Ooty interesting to say the least and hospitality warm and engaging on arrival. Rooms fine and all set for a great short two night stay. I would not want to put off anyone having this place on their itinerary however despite low guest numbers the restaurant experience was a little disappointing. Service was inconsistent as was food quality and things we thought had been agreed were forgotten or simply not understood. Language definitely seemed an issue. Private road down from highway also needs to be improved. Love to be there when elephants come and monkeys were priceless!

Amazing experience

I visited Kurumba village resort once again in the first week to Nov within a span 3months. Its a wonderful resort , spacious rooms, with super clean bathrooms . We stayed in the suite which I would highly recommend. They have a lot of activities for kids as well as adults, their Spice trail hike is very informative and interesting They organise Treks too. Their Ayurshala too is worth recommending.
Mr Jyotish Vasu their manager would personally enquire the well being of the guests. The staff is polite and courteous , always ready to help you.
It's a Heaven on earth for people who like to relax and enjoy the solitude . I would definately recommend this resort.

Stunning views from the hotel and rooms, kindly staff, HORRIBLE reservations team

Giveitagonow7 on 05/11/2017 20:03

Before I go onto praise the many things there are to praise at this hotel, I should warn you about the reservations team here. If you are making a simple booking things could be straightforward. But if you have particular requests, be prepared for a ride. The reservations staff is poorly trained, generally not very bright or competent and don't really understand or care about customer service. They refused us the category of room after confirming it over email and changed the rate we were promised and made payment for and then called us a dozen times to demand further payment.

The views from the hotel rooms here are simply stunning. They really are. The small waterfall and stream with large boulders next to the resort was enchanting and an afternoon lying on the boulders in the warmth of the sun while reading a book is blissful. The vibe at this hotel is generally very peaceful and did I say the views are stunning? You can sit on your bed, lie in a tub or relax in the balcony and soak in the views.

The hotel seems to be right in the middle of a forest - I tried not to think about the ecological damage caused in the building of this place nor of how the hotel is disposing off waste and whether they are harming the environment further. There seem to be a number of trees cut up and lying about the property - which may be distressing for some.

The staff was all kind and well-meaning but could do with a spot of further training. Mr Basu the manager was one of those people who bustle about, keeping an eye on things and generally very helpful and kindly. He walks about talking to guests and looks like he takes various strolls around the property to make sure things are running ok. Too many GMs sit in their office for much of the day and I think his approach is the way to go.

The food was pretty average and really could be improved given that residents are stuck here are most places need 45 mins to drive to.

Housekeeping does a good job with the rooms and keeps them clean and well-maintained.

The view from the bathrooms is also delightful.

The chai area serves pakodas with your chai - but they need to add more variety - especially for guests staying there 3 nights or more as it can get a little repetitive.

The tree top dining area also has a stunning view but they seem to only do dinner there - which is pointless as the view is stunning in the day and not so much at night. They should also offer lunch here.

We asked about the in room barbecue but got such confused and contradictory responses from the staff on the phone that we gave up.

A hotel directory in the room describing all the services and their pricing would be very welcome here. The kids area needs some refurbishment.

WATCH out for monkeys. DO NOT EAT in your balcony or with the balcony door open. The hotel should really put signs on the door warning you about this.
