HOTEL KYRIAD HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN
Pete H on 10/01/2017 12:31
Have never stayed in this establishment but know family & friends who have and all said they enjoyed a wonderful time staying in the Kyriad while visiting Paris. Unfortunately , Hotel Kyriad has been knocked down for reasons a new train station is being built near to where the hotel was standing . Major concerns about severe structural damage to the hotel because of the major building work just 20m away for the new Station meant the hotel was demolished . I have it on good understanding that possibly a new hotel Kyriad will be rebuilt once the new station has been completed .
Budget hotel in quiet, safe area and direct metro to/from CDG Airport (Blue Line)

I like this hotel, i recommend for whom who will visit Paris (for 1st time) in a budget trip and looking for safe place & environment.
Why i say - for first time , because you can take metro from CDG airport , directly to the station near this hotel, no interchange, so no worry if you will get lost, carrying your luggage passing through storied-station while being alert all time with the pickpocket.
As you know, many people would like to choose hotel in central area but a cheap hotel doesn't guarantee your safe stay. This hotel is located almost end of the central zone, yes, it's not difficult, its easy to access everywhere in Paris by metro. The atmosphere around the hotel is clean, safe, after 2nd night, next day we ask hotel to arrange taxi for us around 7 am to Gare de Lyon for the train at 8.30 am.
Rating in the budget price - this hotel is clean, safe to stay, amenities are fine.... I recommend particularly, it's really really safe place for budget trip Paris...
Renovated rooms are nice, the others really need a make over

I've been here a few times now. The renovated rooms are really nice. The older ones are really in need of an overhaul. Nevertheless, the price is moderate, breakfast even ok for french standard. So not bad for a single night.
Pleasant stay

We had a two-night stay here with our tour group (Expat Explore). There are 5 levels to the hotel and only 1 lift, which can comfortably fit 4 adults with suitcases. The carpet throughout the hotel is significantly worn with a few stains in places – it would definitely benefit from a renovation, but not a big drawback. We stayed in room 107, which is at the front of the hotel overlooking one of the streets. The room itself was very nice; it was clean, quiet and spacious. There is a wardrobe, desk, flat-screen TV and coffee/tea making facilities – including a kettle. The bathroom is a good size and has plenty of room to move around. It features a great shower over a bath and also comes equip with a hairdryer. There isn’t a lot of room around the basin for toiletries, and I couldn’t seem to get the power source to work in the bathroom, but there are a few others around the bedroom so it wasn’t too much of an inconvenience.
Breakfast is served in the restaurant through the bar past reception. I didn’t have much to eat here either morning as we were pretty busy, but there are great buffet options from bakery items available to hams and cheeses, fruits, pancakes, yoghurts, juices, tea, coffee, etc.
This hotel is in a pretty good location, although it’s not right in the city centre, with the train station; Arcueil, a short walk away. There is also an ATM and pharmacy across the road, and a bakery and small convenience store within walking distance.
We received an envelope upon checking with a welcome letter and details for the free wifi.
I would definitely recommend staying here when you’re in Paris!
RER station just across the road

This is quite an old hotel and its only lift close to the reception is very old and small. Upon arrival under the Cosmos group, we were given our room key and a souvenir of an Eifel Tower key chain. Good thing is there is free wifi which comes together with password in a hotel notice and welcome note. I like the Chinese restaurant opposite the hotel which sells set meals with reasonable prices from 5,90 to 7,90 euros. If you intend to catch a flight at the CDG airport the RER station is just across the road. You can take a 15 to 20 minute walk to the nearest Casino Supermarket to do some shopping, but take note there's no casino there. My room was at No. 522 and from the window can see a cemetery (correct me if I'm wrong) which is not too good a view. The hotel serves very good breakfast but we were told to eat from a serving tray instead of the table. Understandably, the hotel wants to control the cleanliness of the breakfast room. On the day of our departure, the receptionist at the counter was very patient and kind to show us a map of Paris city center the nearest RER B station from where we could board our train to the airport. Unfortunately, I have forgotten to take down her name. Anyway, thanks to the hotel and your staff!
