Arrieulat really is the perfect hotel to serve as a base for any holiday in the region, especially cycling. Seems also to be the case for hiking and motorcycle tours too. Rooms are clean and comfy with plenty of space. Decent bathrooms with shower that has consistent temperature (always important).
Great area for bike storage with including hose to clean, fill bottles etc.
Highlights are certainly the post ride facilities. Jacuzzi (with beers) and steam room the perfect start to the evening, followed by amazing food in the restaurant! No need to go anywhere else in town. Changes to menu each night, locally sourced produce and not only great tasting but amazing looking plates of food. The cheese trolley a highlight for sure.
Don't need to search for anywhere else for next time.

There's a consistency amongst many of the reviews - a 2 star hotel is a 2 star hotel, so the rooms are clean ,presentable and well priced , but not exceptional. This 2 star and its owners , Stefan and Cecile try hard and have added some lovely little touches with a jacuzzi and pool table. Car parking and bike parking in the garage were both excellent.
The cuisine, particularly at dinner rates several stars higher and the restaurant clearly drew in a local clientele from outside the hotel. Stefan is a VERY fine chef, and was very attentive in explaining our choices and his food. Breakfast was plentiful, if not exceptional.
The quibbles - like many of the hotels in Argeles, this was set on a fairly busy road and noisy, so one of the rooms at the back of the hotel would have been better.
And wifi was free , but only up to basic browsing. Any uploading of data needed the paid service . Don't mind paying if that's up front, but the 2 tiered services are a pet hate.
Neither of those would prevent me from staying here again, given what a Mecca for cyclists this town is.

We were staying here during a race so we needed a cyclist friendly environment. The hotel was comfortable, we were able to store our bikes safely and then we decided to eat hate in the evening... Wow! Excellent food, well presented and super friendly service. Merci beaucoup!

Excellent regional hotel, renovated facilities & rooms, convenient location, food to die for! Family run hotel and restaurant, could not ask for a nicer experience.
We were a group 19 cyclists and the location is perfect. This is also our 11th year of being here and we feel like family.
Would highly recommend staying here!!

Loved this hotel. Renovated in original style, very friendly and helpful hosts, spa and sauna for after cycling, places for bikes, excellent locally sourced food and great wine list. What more could we ask for? Apart from to come back for winter ski adventures.
