La Battigia is a beautifully located hotel, and so open and spacious. It has beautiful views and amazing sunsets. The amenities are OK, you go there for the pool and beach, nothing else. I would give this a 3 star for quality, but the service is incredible (at the hotel, the restaurant outside is actually terrible). Also the view is to a privilege.

We spent a week at the Hotel Battigia last week. The setting is amazing with its own private beach and pool complete with umbrellas and sun loungers. The staff all spoke English and couldn't do enough to help, including helping my dad when he thought he'd lost his wallet. Thanks to everyone!
The rooms are very comfortable with either a sea view or garden view and air conditioning. The breakfast was very varied and the croissants were very tasty. We didn't have dinner in the hotel but the menu was quite similar to lunch, which was lovely and served on a terrace overlooking the beach. The Hotel is well situated for day trips to Palermo, Erice, Marsala and Selinunte.
Definitely worth a return visit!

The hotel itself is great! Lovely location, helpful staff! Our stay was definitely a pleasant experience!
The restaurant of the hotel is an other case. The service is super slow, the food is only mediocre at its best! We had to wait 2,5 hours for a simple pasta dish.
It 's a complete rip-off!!! They sell Alcamo wines that you can buy at any store for 6 EUR for 15!! This is one way of making profits I guess!!
Avoid at any cost!!!

The title says it all. Me and my grandmother were visiting Sicilia and chose Hotel La Battigia. And it was a Win Win situation, because of the quiet suppers with a sea view and wonderfull food and for me the beach bar, young locals over there and friendly staff. I was even lucky enough to participate in a beach party with decent Dj's :) was amazing.
Special thanks to one of the Battigia staff members Mahammed Wezzy. Without him my vacation would have been extremely boring. Not mentioning that he was one out of 3 people who spoke fluent english in Sicilia :D He introduced me with locals, showed the area and nearby Alcamo village. Helped me with my cliff diving searches(there's no safe place to cliff jump in north Sicilia), drove me around with his scooter and I event attenden locals footbal math. He became my guide, my translator and a friend.

This review is only for the beach restaurant at La Battigia. We had strolled a few km down the beach and called in for lunch midweek. The restaurant is close to the hotel's main building. Service was good and efficient but a little stiff.
We took Secondi & dessert. Mine was two small but delicious fillets of Sea bream with chick pea creme & (not very delicious) mussels, the chick pea cream was like thin mashed potato - uninspiring but allowed the subtle flavour of the fish to shine. My partner had Filet Vitelli in balsamic vinegar- rich, tasty, a good portion but served on 2 pieces of bread which did not add anything to the meal.. Half bottle of Sicilian Chardonnay with it was very passable. Nice desserts.
Had to go into the main hotel to pay by card, but this was no trouble to me or them.
On the beach at side of hotel building, good service, coped with our poor Italian. Recommended
