We stayed at Bougainville Hotel for 2 nights. It is a boutique hotel that has been in the owner's family for generations. Luigi and Margherita are a lovely couple who offer warm and friendly hospitality. The young man at the desk when we checked in very kindly gave us a map and made suggestions for the day (chairlift to the top of Anacapri, Villa San Michelle, the lighthouse for sunset). All were fun and beautiful to see. He also arranged a private boat for us for the next day to take 4 of us around the island and into the grottos. Luigi was so nice to drive us down to the port and stay with us to make sure the boat showed up. He also drove us to the port on the morning we were leaving. On top of it all, he made great recommendations for dinner! I must also mention Ravi and Florida who work for Luigi...wonderful people! And Florida makes great coffee!

I stayed here in early September. Rooms are outdated and small. Tv is very small. Noisy rooms with traffic sounds. I don't understand how this is a 4 star hotel. When i asked about the WiFi issue i got a shrugged shoulder from the manager.
Please save your money and stay elsewhere.

We stayed here for 4 nights. As we weren't sure how to get from the port on arrival I emailed the hotel the day before - they responded quickly and made arrangements to pick us up which they duly did. Brilliant service from the outset. The owner and staff couldn't have been more helpful, giving us loads of information about where to go and what to see. The hotel itself is situated very close to the centre of Anacapri and a few minutes from the chairlift (which is a must !!) There are bus stops just outside the hotel to get you anywhere on the island.The hotel is a family run business, very clean with lovely rooms - breakfast was a buffet which was very good and plenty of coffee !! When we left the owner drove us back to the port.
We both loved this hotel and would definitely stay there again due to the amazing service and staff.

The Hotel is conveniently located, very closed to the pedestrian area of Anacapri and only a few meters away for the bust stop (unless you rent a scooter, you need to use the bus to visit Capri island). The two rooms we had for us and our kids were very nice. Breakfast was good, even if the room was a bit small with only a few tables. The really outstanding part was the staff: this is a very friendly family-driven hotel, everyone does its best to please the guests making you feel at home. They are always read to help and give suggestions about the visits to the island, also helping the guests to buy tickets.
In my specific case, the price was also very convenient (especially by considering how expensive everything is in Capri island) since I was taking advantage of special price, because I was staying in Capri as part of an organized group.

A really lovely hotel in Anacapri with clean and spacious rooms, and the friendliest and most helpful staff you could ask for.
The hotel is located only a few minutes away from Anacapri town (definitely do the chair lift for an incredible view of Capri). It is also only a few minutes walk from the bus to bring you to other parts of the island. I don't think the location is bad at all - you need a get a bus or taxi for anywhere you want to go in Capri, and I certainly wouldn't recommend staying near the port as it is way too busy and crowded. This provides a good and more reasonably priced alternative to staying in Capri town itself.
Overall I would really recommend this hotel, a really special place with great staff!
